Interesting...
Samsung officially introduces its next-generation 200MP HPC camera sensor. 📸
The new ISOCELL HPC isn't just about adding more megapixels. Samsung has redesigned the sensor to capture more light, improve HDR, reduce noise and deliver better image quality in difficult lighting.
Here's what's new:
- Industry-first DeepPix architecture with a redesigned pixel structure
- 60% higher single-pixel light capacity (FWC) for brighter images, cleaner shadows and lower noise
- New 16-bit single-frame HDR, reducing the need for multiple exposures and minimizing ghosting in moving scenes
- HDR works across 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x and 4x in-sensor zoom for more consistent zoom quality
- Improved low-light photography with better highlight and shadow retention
- New High Precision Microlens technology to direct more light onto each pixel and improve efficiency
- Supports 4K video recording at up to 180fps for smoother slow-motion videos
- 200MP (16,384 × 12,288) resolution with 0.6μm pixel size and 1/1.3-inch optical format
- Supports 8K 30fps, 4K 30fps, 4K 180fps and FHD 360fps video recording
- Super QPD autofocus and Smart-ISO Pro HDR support
- Already in mass production
Samsung says ISOCELL HPC marks a shift from simply increasing megapixels to improving how each individual pixel captures light.
If this delivers in real-world flagship phones, it could become one of Samsung's biggest camera upgrades in years. 📷
The best photographs don't just capture a moment; they preserve real stories.
Stories of India's rich culture, the passion of young generation and their dreams, the daring spirit that we long to feel again — these real moments deserve to be frozen forever.
Huge congratulations to our Gold & Silver winners from India: @refined_pixel, @suhailsidiqbhat, Aungsanoo, & Sourav Ghosh for showing us the true power of photography.
