Robert Pattinson on his experience to fame is different to his costars Tom Holland and Timothée Chamalet
Their experience is very different from mine. They became famous when social media was already massive. As for me, I rode the tail end of the “pre-social media” fame wave. Back when the first *Twilight* came out, people didn’t even have cameras on their phones yet! Tom and Timothée are very smart—much more level-headed and disciplined than I was. And to be a star today, that’s essential. Because if you let too much information get to you, it can really destroy you psychologically.
In the last few years (ever since “Top Gun: Maverick”), Tom Cruise has often been hailed as The Last Movie Star. But there is no more perfect an incarnation of the new stardom than Robert Pattinson:
“It’s not just that Pattinson is terrific in each of those films,” writes Variety’s Owen Gleiberman. “In ‘The Drama’ and ‘Primetime,’ he did that singular and defining movie-star thing: He put butts in seats. (He probably didn’t hurt in that department in ‘The Odyssey’ either.) It helped that he had A24 — the new Miramax — to help shepherd his popularity. But you can’t shepherd what doesn’t already exist. An entire generation has followed Pattinson from the ‘Twilight’ movies to the moment he’s in now.”

Robert Pattinson if he thinks a scene or line he is filming will become a meme:
Yeah, but I mess up every single time! The line “Somebody get these beggars out of here”—even though I remember it made everyone on set laugh when I said it—I never could have imagined it would spark such a reaction… There’s another line in the movie—I can’t quote it exactly—where I ask for Telemachus’s nose and ears to be brought to me, which led to a great moment on set with Chris [Nolan]. I did the scene once, and Chris said to me, “You could look a little crazier when you say that.” So, on the second take, I cranked it up a notch, and the other actors started wondering what was going on with me. And Chris wasn’t entirely satisfied, so he encouraged me: “Even crazier.” On the third take, I went all out, and I thought to myself: “Okay, this one’s bound to become a meme!” ” I turn to Chris, all excited, and he says, very coolly: “No, that was nonsense—it doesn’t make any sense.” As if I were the one who’d insisted on overdoing it! Anyway… So, no, in reality, it’s best not to think about it, because you never really know which line will stick in people’s minds.
