I wanted to explain my absence because I have been quiet for a while. I had a family bereavement which was tough and was then in the process of selling my beloved home due to the divorce when I suffered what the doctors called a strong but not severe cardiac episode.

11am: call from the boss to be available for a conference call in 30 minutes

11:30am: notified on said call that our landlord had advised of complete air conditioning failure in our building

1:45pm: all staff told the next two days are emergency paid leave
