2026 Asian Games Selection Interview (Eng_full vers)
#Faker: Actually, in my first and second appearances, there was a really strong feeling of “being the first” and all that..
But they were also players I had spent a long time with, so there was some curiosity about what it would feel like to meet them again..
Personally, I think what matters more as a pro player is continuously improving myself, so that feels like the bigger meaning..
Q: How do you feel about being selected for the Asian Games?
#Faker: I’ve been selected again as a national team member for the Asian Games, and I feel a strong sense of duty that I need to prepare really hard for this competition as well. Also, there are actually a lot of tournaments this year, and especially during the Asian Games we’ll have a long period of bootcamp and preparation, so I’m thinking a lot about managing my condition well during that time.
Q: How did you find out you were selected?
#Faker: Since we were in the middle of the season, I didn’t hear it directly. While preparing for the season, I found out through the team that I had been selected for the national team, that’s how I learned about it.
Q: This will be your third time representing the national team. Each event must feel different, how is it this time?
#Faker: In my first and second appearances, the feeling of it being a “first-ever experience” was very strong. But this time, it feels more like an established, official tournament, so rather than something new, it feels more familiar. However, even with that familiarity, playing and building synergy with new national team players always carries a different meaning. So in that sense, it still feels quite emotional and meaningful, it brings back a lot of feelings and reflection.
Q: You mentioned bootcamp earlier, any memorable memories from the previous Asian Games?
#Faker: During previous Asian Games, we trained at the facilities prepared by KeSPA, and we were able to prepare comfortably without major inconvenience. Since we were there with players from other teams, we also got close and had a lot of fun memories.
Q: How does it feel to be playing again with former T1 teammates?
#Faker: This time I’ll be meeting T1 players again as national teammates. They’re players I’ve spent a long time with, so I’m curious about how it’ll feel after so long apart, and I think it’ll just be fun.
Q: What role do you plan to take on, in and out of game?
#Faker: All the players have really good personalities, so I don’t think there’s actually that much I need to take care of externally. But since I am the oldest, I’ll try my best to do whatever I can for the team.
Q: Thoughts on playing alongside Zeka, who looks up to you?
#Faker: I’m really grateful that Zeka speaks so highly of me. He’s been in great form recently as well, so it feels very reassuring to be on the same national team. As mid laners, I want to do my best together with him.
Q: How do you manage pressure for the Asian Games?
#Faker: Rather than focusing on how others see me, I think what matters more is improving myself as a pro player. So I see external expectations more as motivation rather than pressure. Because of that, I don’t really feel too much burden.
Q: Final message to fans and your goal for the Asian Games?
#Faker: Since I’ve been selected as a national team member again for this Asian Games, I will do my best to show good performances and give fans something they can be proud of.
🐿️ i hope illit… how should i put this? i hope they do well?

🥹🥹🥹 i get you rannie,,,
Doran was late today bcs he went out to eat with Peanut🥹
Coincidentally, today is also exactly one year since Peanut visited Doran in his stream room (250603) 😭
🐿️ what does “who’s your bias” mean?
💬 who’s your bias
🐿️ ah that was it? they were asking who is your bias?
🐿️ bias (in english) means bias (in korean)?
rannie learning fandom language 😂 my bias is rannie (^з^)-☆
🐿️ what’s hurray geoje?
💬 *some explaining it’s a meme by rescene, some teasing him saying he’s old and doesn’t know*
🐿️ ah~!! hurray changwon?
💬 ? 😂😂
🐿️ *trying not to laugh*
🐿️ changwon infinite hurray, that?
rannie acting like he knows but bringing out an old meme😂
I think we haven't fully processed how insane Rescene's rise is. We've seen how difficult it has become for any small/midtier groups to succeed with how monopolised the industry has become, so them beating the odds is a one in a million chance. I'm so, so happy.
