@annamgainey@PattyHajdu The core of a family is time together…breakfast is crucial and the responsibility of parents not government. The failure here is the economy that does not afford decent Canadian values ….families were way better off in the 1950’s. It’s been downhill for decades.
@DonnieDetroit19 Seventy something here… everytime I have a problem with my computer or my tv I call my son and everytime he says is this a one or two Advil call ? It’s a standard joke we have because I can remember helping him with all the childhood problems and now the roles are reversed .
@DoctorLemma The last time my mom and her sister were together was on my mom’s 100th birthday and her sister was 102. They argued like they were teenagers about things that happened in the past. When they passed they were 101 and 104 . My mom’s sister outlived her.
@SusieM414141 My trail horse of 21 years was herd bound and every time I rode away from the barn when I returned within a 1/4 mile he knew where he was and would literally scream for his stable mates. Neighbours got used to it but it sounded like he was being killed.
@AngelMD1103 We were trail riding one day in an unfamiliar area and got really turned around and confused. Each of us wanted to return a different way. We just gave our horses their heads and they lead us back to our trailers. Quite amazing.
@TheEXECUTlONER_ I lost my trail horse in NOVEMBER . He was 31. His 2 stablemates were with him and stayed with him when he went down in the pasture until we got there. He was good in the morning but for whatever reason he knew it was time. We spent 23 years together riding the trails . 😪
@C57D_1@MrPitbull07 Almost identical story. Went to get the runt of the litter and there were two totally bonded. Lab/retriever sisters..they had 15 great years together. Roxy passed away last year and Maggie was grieve stricken but is now settled and 16. Seniors too, we’re all together !
@ericjackson If we were already truly independent simple things like TV would not be flooded with US sports 24/7. I know there’s lots of other problems but some can’t see beyond the simple things they enjoy everyday. Costco, Walmart etc majority in Canada . Our identity is gone
@natism Twice this year, June for my 16 year old golden retriever, November for my 31 year old horse. There is no time when they need you more. It is all about them not you. The strength to do it comes from the love they gave you. It’s easy to do knowing they know that you’re there.
@TrumpGirlOnFire ‘50s and ‘60s for me
Awesome time to grow up
I feel so sad for my grandkids but when they visit us in the country we try to make it somewhat like the old days … no devices
@Answers4Sean I have followed you from the start and I can finally see some light at the end of that dark tunnel for you
No one deserves to have this closure more than you
May your family be granted peace
