Xavier Mitchell, 5, was stabbed to death in Bishop Lavis, Cape Town, on 7 August 2024. He was stabbed to death allegedly by the brother of the babysitter, the parents employed to look after their son. While Xavier’s nanny went to the bathroom, the brother allegedly started chasing Xavier and stabbed the little boy multiple times in the arm, neck, and chest. Xavier died shortly before he could be seen at the local hospital. The suspect is believed to be mentally challenged and had allegedly a psychotic break, which led to the attack. Kugawo Nyweba, 19, lifeless body was discovered at a dumping site in Makhanda, Eastern Cape, on 10 July 2024. It is alleged Kungawo went missing from her home on 5 July 2024 after she was allegedly taken by her ex-boyfriend, who is a teacher, and his friend, who is a caretaker at Alice Primary School, along with their partners. It is alleged that the two women, aged 19 and 45, and their partners were allegedly part of Kungawo’s murder.

The four suspects allegedly tortured and killed Kungawo and then burnt her body using old tires after dropping it at a dumping site in Makhanda. Kungawo’s body was burnt beyond recognition. The two women and the ex-boyfriend have been arrested, while the fourth suspect allegedly committed suicide. Fly high, Sister. #womenforchange #sayhername
