On 18th October, we remember that dark night. The devastation. The loss. But most of all, we remember with deep respect and gratitude the martyrs of the Karsaz blasts, whose sacrifice is forever etched in our hearts. Their courage embodies the spirit of sacrifice that defines the Pakistan Peoples Party. We honour their memory with an unwavering resolve to never surrender to the forces of darkness, fear or hatred. Breast cancer is treatable, especially when detected early. Awareness, timely diagnosis and access to treatment can save lives. No woman should be held back from seeking care by fear, stigma, distance or financial constraints. 🎀

Heartbroken by the tragic loss of young lives in the school roof collapse in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. My deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones, and prayers for the swift recovery of those injured.

No parent should have to send their child to school fearing for their safety. Our schools must be places of learning and protection, not tragedy. Those responsible for ensuring the safety of our children must be held accountable.

Today, we inaugurated Pakistan’s first dedicated autism residential centre and first inclusive park at C-ARTS in, Karachi, an important step towards ensuring persons with autism receive the care, dignity and opportunities they deserve.

The dedicated, trained and compassionate staff at C-ARTS provide free diagnosis, rehabilitation, education, skills training and support to children and their families.
