@leftyaright We did not have a lot of smartphone repair shops a few years ago. All of a sudden in the last couple of years there are hundreds of smart phone repair shops everywhere even in rural areas who have expertise in fixing smartphones. Technology changes and everything else follows.
@leftyaright How is an accident and lacklustre service got to do with EV? All I see front bumper getting damaged. Do you think ICE doesn’t get damaged in an accident? There are hundreds of videos circulating where IcE owners are in similar situations due to bad service.
@DuryodhanaAgain@asishcodes Dude, it’s Hyderabad and I use it often between Gachibowli and Rajendranagar. It’s a longer route but takes less time than regular shorter route.
@PulakPrakriti@saajan1011 Yes, not sure about UP,BH etc., but TG,AP, KA,MH,Goa -the states I have travelled the most in EV are good in terms of infra. I have heard that TN,KL also have good EV infra. Also, chargers have increased significantly since my 1st EV road trip to the most recent one.
@saajan1011@PulakPrakriti Fortunately, I have never experienced such situations in the last 1.5 years and 30,000 kms of driving EV. Not sure where you travel, but here I’m my region (HYD) and surrounding states, EV infra is pretty reliable for long trips.
@ChanderBhatia01 MG Windsor 38 Kw since 1.5 years, done 30k kms including interstate highway trips (Hyd-Goa, Hyd-Blr-Mysore etc). MG claims 320km of range, I get the same in city and around 270-300km on highways. Fully satisfied till now and very cheap to run on home charging.
@PulakPrakriti@saajan1011 Most people charge at home for city use and most highways now have good charging infrastructure available and growing. However if one plans to take their car to the Himalayas every day or one doesn’t have place to charge at home, then it’s a bad choice to have an EV.
@PulakPrakriti It’s like comparing alto to baleno/swift. Anyway, you seem to be adamant about talking in the most misleading manner with an intent to confuse potential EV buyers. Such standard statements are definitely misleading.
@PulakPrakriti People compare cars by the value they get for every rupee they spend. You cannot compare a base model manual ICE to a non existent EV for the same features. Ex: Curv petrol automatic starts at 15.5L while Curv EV starts at 18L and EV has far greater features, power and torque.
@PulakPrakriti@saajan1011 Are you still living in 2024? Who told you that 300 km EV can only travel A to B? Go ask people who have some experience with EVs recently. I bought EV one year ago as a secondary car but since last one year, I have not touched my so called “primary” petrol car even for longtrips
@AmitWorldPeace Depends on the region also. I have travelled extensively in AP, Telangana and KA in my EV. Infra is really good and reliable and growing fast. I am able to travel 700kms a day in my 300 km range Windsor without any stress or time waste (I club mealtime with charging).
@anusehgal EV will be in a much better position than ICE because EV does not consume battery while idling except for AC and electronics. Please do some basic research before posting such scare mongering.
@aroorprashanth Rain will not damage EV. In fact EVs perform better in flooded conditions (not invulnerable though). ICE engine can stall in water but EV will not. I have driven 28k kms in my EV, 40% of it on highway without any hassle. Need 15 mins of prior planning before hitting the highway.
@TightXDJ@GreenDrvIndia People who don’t own EVs will not know the difference between home charging at Rs.1 per KM which most people use on a regular basis and DCFC outside typically on highways. Elec. rates have to increase at least 5 times to reach parity with the most fuel efficient ICE cars.
@Sachan8574@VinFastIN So much misinformation w.r.t EVs and these people catch on to the fear mongering. They act as if they have never seen a petrol/diesel car with problems. You should check out this if you want to get right info: https://t.co/YsQFyMLZCC
