But sadly, the person running a business like this is unlikely to be invited to a Shark Tank panel or celebrated as an entrepreneur.

To the wannabe traders and economists mocking 7.8% GDP growth and asking why markets aren’t reflecting that optimism: past growth has little to do with how markets move.

Monsoon, oil prices, and the war in Iran matter far more. Markets price the future. US, European, and Asian markets are down too. Strong domestic macros are real, they just don’t drive market behavior the way people assume.

- Dirty water? Buy an RO.
- No electricity? Buy an inverter.
- Polluted air? Buy an air purifier.
- No gas supply? Buy an induction.

We don’t protest. We purchase. And then the government calls it “growing consumer economy.”
