@Luke_Jeffrey @barbajosep @JoshuaFDean@MikePeacock86@GauciGauci@DirtBrew Vince and I are currently working on a manuscript that attempts at a global budget for forested wetlands, Covey n Megonigal's review comes up with an estimate for the global forest. Apart from that no published efforts so far
Very fitting that this paper gets published while I am working in the mangroves! Well done @Luke_Jeffrey 'Are methane emissions from mangrove stems a cryptic carbon loss pathway? Insights from a catastrophic forest mortality' https://t.co/wZ7hdkHLLI
Many congratulations to our director Prof Phil Barker @Phil_B_Diatom, winner of a @LancasterUni Staff #Award for his inspiring, supportive and inclusive leadership and his compassion in tough times.
Thanks Phil, from all of us π!

@terhorab Yes it does. Given we are in a mangrove with atlesst 20-30 cm of water at all times, neither can we sit down nor risk putting the instrument down. Guarding the instrument with life right now, everything depends on it working :)
Thank you #Picarro for loaning the GasScouter. Only wish it was a little more lighter, 9 hours of measurements with the instrument on the back is tiring.
@Luke_Jeffrey Yes very dense, hence the fieldwork has been very intense. I did see your twitter conference results and was fascinated by it. Was on the look out for dead mangroves to look see but couldn't spot any yet. I will keep an eye out
