@marplat_07@pogbum4040@Jmoney231990@yoavdontmiss I understand what you’re trying to do but neither of these games are solely for kids, which I assume is the point. Look at his replies you’re not gonna convince him.
The funny part is he apparently likes Dark Souls. He should find out who Miyazaki is and his opinions on Zelda.
@Ryksanz@Jmoney231990@yoavdontmiss That’s definitely true. Some people decided when they were insecure teens they didn’t like Nintendo games because “they’re for kids”. I think we can understand a lot of Nintendo hate through that lense.
@johniibo I think your original post is weird but who cares what either of us think is weird? Also, he seems to be expressing he is having fun not bragging.
@Jmoney231990@yoavdontmiss Wait until you hear that Miyazaki was inspired by BoTW when designing Elden Ring.
These are masterpieces, just as Elden Ring is and all these games deserve those scores. I actually can’t believe you have played these games if you think it’s bias.
@AtlasfromEarth@TheGhostOfHope@mooreslawisdead This is essentially my argument, which again is just that we have no clue where the bottlenecks are and if they choose not squeeze more frames, that’s simply a choice.
What to expect for #gtavı framerates on PS5 vs Pro:
1) If PS5 is firmly locked to 30, 40 VRR for Pro is doable.
2) If PS5 has a 40 VRR performance mode, then it's plausible Pro gets a shaky 60 FPS mode with drops to the mid-forties. (like Elden Ring on PS5)
3) If the GPU is the bottleneck on PS5, then it is actually likely PS5 base has a 30 FPS limit whereas Pro gets 60.
In other words, the only world where it makes sense for the PS5 Pro to not get at least a 40 FPS VRR mode, is a world where the base PS5 has an unstable framerate capped at 30 FPS...and I find it nearly impossible that Rockstar would ship a GTA game that has frame drops as bad as Bloodborne.
Conclusion - if PS5 Pro is limited to 30 FPS, it was a business decision, not a technical limitation.
@AtlasfromEarth@TheGhostOfHope How do you know it’s intensive for a PS5 Pro CPU? You don’t. Look at anyone who understands hardware— see @mooreslawisdead discussing this.
You have no clue where the bottlenecks are unless you are in the trenches at Rockstar.
@AtlasfromEarth@TheGhostOfHope You are assuming it’s CPU limited in the first place, you have no clue because you aren’t coding it.
They can obviously lower CPU demand at any rate (eg lower cpu density, draw distance etc) this is ultimately a business choice or I would concede artistic choice.
@Minotaur511@TheGhostOfHope Oh thanks for inside info, what’s your position at Rockstar?
Seriously though, the idea you can’t turn down NPC density, draw distances, etc. is stupid. It is all ultimately a choice for how they want to present it and future upselling on PC and next gen. That’s the reality.
@KabiPlays Yep. Instant flip from idiots saying “60 is not possible” to “Switch 2 is holding the game back”
Reality is, if it’s 30 on the Pro it’s a business choice.
