Feeling deeply for everyone in the UK right now. It’s unsettling to see people being forced to hand over ID or scan their face just to access online spaces, places for community, creativity, or even just escape. This isn’t safety. It’s surveillance.

And it doesn’t stop there. Visa and Mastercard are quietly pressuring platforms to censor legal, fictional content, cutting off payments to creators not because they break the law, but because they offend someone’s personal values.

What we’re seeing isn’t protection. It’s control, over speech, art, and access. Adults deserve the freedom to choose what they engage with, without being watched, flagged, or shut out.
