Marriage is a chain that binds you to your partner irrespective of the look and character, hence the carelessness.

In marriage, you know that no one is leaving, so you tend to relax. Not that you are too busy to look good but you are not under the pressure to look good. The reason you looked good in your single days have been fulfilled. Marriage.

When the unexpected happens, Divorce. You have to go back to the days where you are under pressure to be picked again. No one is picking with your “marital look”, you have to go back to the old days.

When people say “Divorce glow”, no, it’s “Singles glow”. It is “ready to be picked glow”. You can look like that in marriage but the chain that binds removed that obligation. You will still go back to being what you were in your next marriage except you purposely put yourself under pressure to always look snatchy. Divorce doesn’t come with a glow, it’s being single. ✌️
