There are still good and professional marketers in the memecoin space, people who actually understand branding, community building and what it takes to grow a project over time.

These are people who work with honesty, add real value and care about the long-term success of the projects they support.

Sadly, the space has changed a lot, today almost anyone calls himself a “professional marketer” or “top promoter” promising to take a project from a $5M market cap to $50M overnight. These promises are backed by nothing but fake proof.

There's one tactic they use which's they create a fake Telegram groups, fake X accounts and communities filled with bots have become very common. In many cases, more than 90% of the so-called community isn’t real no engagement, no loyalty, no real value.

This kind of growth doesn’t help a project it kills it. Because real growth doesn’t come from fake numbers or loud hype. It comes from trust, transparency, clear communication and a real community that believes in the project’s vision. But Bot-filled groups may look good at first, but they fall apart as soon as the market gets tough.

We need to start telling the difference between real professionals and opportunists. Devs need to ask better questions, check real track records and focus more on quality than numbers. A small but active and loyal community will always be better than a huge group of inactive bots.

Finally, the memecoin space can still grow and mature but only if we stop rewarding fake marketing and start supporting people who know how to build real projects, not who come to scam devs.

Crypto Builders: Here's some tips on how you can avoid all the fake marketing gurus on X that claim they can make your project 100x or gain you a bunch of new eyeballs!

✅ Check the comments on all their previous X posts... if they have a bunch of comments from accounts that make no sense in relation to the post itself, they likely have a bunch of bot followers.

✅ If a bunch of accounts in their post replies show up as "reply not available" - it's another sign that the account has a bunch of bot/paid followers.

✅ If the account is overly eager for you to hire them and they're constantly trying to pressure you, they're likely a fake marketing guru looking to make some quick and easy cash.

Bottom line: good web3 marketing professionals are always busy and have a good amount of clients and will NEVER send you a DM and beg you for work.
