@StubbsTLAD@AgentLouisianaF@SlySinatraa OG PC advantages: all of the above (besides aiming, it uses grid system like PS2) , as well as an extreme collection of mods/bug fixes/QoL improvements (like the aforementioned SilentPatch), replays to capture and save cool stuff, and more.
Conclusion: OG PC = goat, DE/PS2 = mid.
@StubbsTLAD@AgentLouisianaF@SlySinatraa DE advantages: better controls, better loading times, better framerate (and the ability to change it mid game), better aiming (thanks to the removal of the grid system, so now you don't skip pixels), checkpoints/autosaves.
PS2 advantages: better atmosphere, more radio songs.
@AgentLouisianaF@StubbsTLAD@SlySinatraa There is not a single PS2 feature worth replicating besides the so-called atmosphere (and even then it's debatable). OG PC version by itself is already miles better than the PS2 version, and with SilentPatch installed it becomes the most refined experience one could get.
@NikTek "This game is objectively better than the launch of GTA VC DE" and the mod was borderline unplayable on release, crashing every 5 minutes and/or when you die. DE at least was playable from start to finish. You can rightfully hate DE all you want but no need to blatantly lie.
@calvindyson Yeah, a very good game, despite being built upon an utter garbage game that is Everything or Nothing. Although it's kinda funny to see young Connery but hear his old smoke voice.
@Supahdenning@JasonMaloneStan@__silent_ Not to sound like I agree with the other guy (PS2 version is utter garbage) but it's only the PC version that runs at 25 fps, 26 if you're playing on Steam/RGL version, PS2 runs at 30 fps.
@SynthPotato No thanks, I prefer my AC be vibrant and colourful, not buried under 10 layers of filters and post-fx. That's why Brotherhood and Revelations are much more visually appealing.
@NikTek Yeah, because GSG would totally want to work with R* again, after being screwed over by them several times. Also it's simply hilarious to read about R*'s quality control when they themselves don't give a fuck about maintaining their older games.
@RohanKarMooN ...why not upload clean vanilla files with all the mods in a separate folder? It'd be far more valuable than yet another pre-modded repack, of which there are trillions all around the internet. Not to mention, should something break, it'll be quite hard to diagnose the issue.
