Ok @brendanhunting - I took my tiny Twitter #TedLasso thesis about Beard and wrote a whole dang article about it.
Would love for you to give it a read: https://t.co/Feq6e7tSrJ
christopher plummer surprising julie andrews by singing ‘edelweiss’ to her with the whole company of ‘victor/victoria’ in what would end up being not only her last curtain call for the show but her last time on a broadway stage simultaneously breaks and warms my heart
I'm gonna be more like Ryan Coogler. Never seen that guy complain about anything, or get annoyed about anything. Dude just locks in, works hard, uplifts his people, makes cool stuff, and thanks his wife.
Ryan Coogler telling his cast to stand up during his acceptance speech, signing I love you, running to grab that baby so he could see his mama win the first Oscar for a woman in her category, hugging Chloe Zhao when Jessie Buckley won. A good man, a beautiful human being.
Biggest take away from the Oscars for me is that finding people you love and making art with them is a worthy, integral and noble human pursuit, no matter the odds or outcomes.
Like legitimately this is one of the most thoughtful gestures I’ve ever seen someone make at any awards show, and for the director of the movie to do that? Like there’s so little ego here, it’s just pure love.
Ryan Coogler saying that a major inspiration for Sinners was the movie Puss In Boots: The Last Wish AND (one of my favorites) The Luck of the Irish made me holler.
Art is art. ANYTHING can be an inspiration for genius.
Guillermo Del Toro stood up for #KPopDemonHunters winning best animated feature and was trying to encourage the crowd to stand too.
The dude is a ride or die for the medium.

— erykah badu on sesame street, 1998. 🌻🌬️🌾🪬 this is the cutest thing of all them wearing a head wrap just like her. the representation that was always there on this program.
at a time when there’s a persistent push to replace artists and filmmakers with AI, it’s such a miracle to still see scenes like this and the car chase in one battle after another on the big screen - moments that move the medium forward and feel unmistakably handmade and human.
In a Cornish village, a project called the Pollinator Pathmaker is underway. It's a collaboration between @alexandradaisy and the @UniofExeter that could change the way we garden. Join Frances as she met some of the people involved tonight at 8pm on @BBCTwo 😎 #GardenersWorld
