@FreeRosedark@_gurusandhu_ I always felt like the reason he stopped talking about undertale/deltarune is because the community was toxic as heck towards matpat whenever he did anything with the games
@Qxnznghggktygf@Dimey69 Another comparison is hiking. If your "hike" is only 10 seconds long, it's not really gonna have much of anything to it. But If your hike is 100 miles, you'll likely collapse of exhaustion.
You don't want to be lazy but don't want to overwork.
@Qxnznghggktygf@Dimey69 The people who work themselves to the bone, and pour everything they have emotionally and mentally and spiritually into a work will be considered great artists, but it's a drain on your life.
Balance is best.
@Qxnznghggktygf@Dimey69 It's called balance.
My gf probably wouldn't feel that appreciated if I just popped a TV dinner in the microwave compared to me making her a homemade feast, but she doesn't need me to have grown all the ingredients myself.
@Dimey69 I think Ai generations could be used in art, the same way stock photos could be but they are not art on their own right until they've been significantly edited modified by the person working with them to the point where said person has put in that heart, that time, that effort.
@Dimey69 With AI generation people think "it's my idea, expressing something I'm wanting to express. That makes it art"
But by that logic, commissioning someone to make a drawing that invokes a certain feeling, that means you think you're the artist, not the person who actually made it.
