Super Jan Vertonghen

A Tottenham fan site committed to enduring, eulogising and agonising over our beloved football club, which exhilarates and frustrates in equal measure.

He’s only started three Premier League games this season, but this #Tottenham man now deserves a long run in the team after starring vs United on Saturday. #THFC #COYS #TTID

@mitch_fretton Anyone criticising him after that performance needs a reality check. Best performance of the season so far and will get better - trio of him, Bergvall, Gallagher looks 👌

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@GaryRWard I'm feeling good - a really strong performance. We should remember that there's been so many new players and they need time to gel/adapt. Four new players in starting XI, two more off the bench - once they settle, we'll rocket up the table

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@SpursOfficial Time to kick on now. I reckon Gallagher and Bergvall alongside him is a nice balance and allows him to dictate. Super Sandro

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

Yang Min-hyeok definitely has something about him....scoring here over the weekend for Westerlo. How fast is he!? #THFC #COYS #TTID

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@sleepyjoe179835 I agree. A loan would have served everyone’s purposes and gave Spurs more control

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

Tottenham got the guts of £20m for Will Lankshear in the summer - but the more goals he scores for #Boro the more foolish not giving him a chance looks. Scored again yesterday. Thoughts? #THFC #COYS #TTID

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

Despite scoring the equaliser on Saturday, Dominic Solanke has been supporters’ firing line in the last 24 hours - #Tottenham fans, does he deserve the criticism? #THFC #COYS #TTID https://t.co/Pkay04jXwe

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

Highlights here of Djed Spence’s Inter debut off the bench - looking sharp and dangerous. Why oh why did #Tottenham sell him again!? #THFC #COYS #TTID https://t.co/PFG6QWGB6e

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

Fair or not, Rodrigo Bentancur is set to be suspended after his red card - here’s how #Tottenham boss RDZ can turn it into a positive. #THFC #COYS #TTID https://t.co/kC3HT0YskQ

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@PohlerWes Not sure how you can say that - had we taken our chances spurs could have won comfortably. Much better performance - come on, chin up!

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@thespursweb Still looks so lightweight on the ball - way more than before the injury. Coventry would be a perfect game fit him to start though as you’d expect spurs to dominate possession

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@Talking_spurss Actually where’s Gallagher? Gotta play after MOTM last night

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

Tottenham have had some incredible players in the Premier League era, with the top 20 ranked here….do you agree? #THFC #COYS #TTID https://t.co/ihsQMHHPu5

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@Talking_spurss Wishful thinking about Porro I think unfortunately. Wouldn’t mind seeing this team tbh

🇮🇹 Djed Spence makes his Inter Milan debut

The former Tottenham defender came off the bench in the 73rd minute of Inter’s 3-0 win over Parma, receiving a big ovation from the San Siro crowd.

He also whipped in a dangerous cross for Lautaro Martínez, whose header narrowly missed the target.

A new chapter begins for Spence. 👏

WHAT A FEELING !!🕸️💙🖤 FORZA INTER

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

How good was Sávio yesterday!? Properly excited to see what he can do this season for #Tottenham - but to be top class he needs to change something important. Super Jan’s musings here #THFC #COYS #TTID https://t.co/z4o6jWHP3Z

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@SpursOfficial @MonsterEnergy Ignore the criticism and the haters big Dom - and go on a run of scoring goals for us!

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@footballconfid1 @TheLocalYidiot Honestly don’t think it’s worth comparing. Bentancur lost his head and deserved to be sent off - no referee bias or conspiracy. Truth is we should have had the game sown up long before he put the nut on Shaw #COYS #TTID #THFC

[Super Jan Vertonghen @SuperJanVertong]

@henrywinter @Hotspur67 Despite the poor league position, the performance - with quality and fight - weirdly more important than the result. That showing gives Spurs fans, and hopefully the players, belief #COYS #TTID #THFC
