@klunsgod That and also the fact that for what reason Egg Reverie on the Mania level select screen uses the Death Egg icon from Sonic 2, I was never really sure why that was the case but this hypothetical combination of both stories could retroactively explain it I guess, haha.

@klunsgod Ah neat, I actually kind of like the idea of that since Mania and 4 both do have sections of the plot where Eggman suddenly focuses on capturing Little Planet for his own again, missed potential from Episode 2 and the scrapped Episode 3 with the Death Egg trapping Little Planet.

@Som3GuyPart2 @eatmyfum If his personal art of the characters for the new movie is anything to go by it would probably be fantastic if that actually did happen, they are great drawings but I’m expecting almost of that artistic personality to be scrubbed off in the 3D animation, hoping not though 🙏

@Marcy_Bun627 Also the scrapped dragon boss idea from Sonic 3 & Knuckles seems to be partly what inspired the boss fights against the Biolizard/Finalhazard as well, not even mentioning the fact it was clearly based on Perfect Chaos from the ancient murals of Sonic Adventure 1.
