we don’t need to halve the population. thats eco facism. we need to get rid of militaries (responsible for 70% of emissions), data centers, companies that produce single use plastic, and switch out of fossil fuels to clean energy. but they’d rather let people die than do that
Genuinely believe the 8+ hour workday is outdated. Give people time to live, be with loved ones, chase hobbies, and actually rest. That’s where real fulfillment lives.
When I was young I thought things were bad because solutions were complicated, and now I'm older and realize things are bad because the solutions are often simple, but they would inconvenience affluent people, or those who aspire to be, and religious fanatics.
the worst part of piracy discourse is when i start seeing things like “reading is a luxury” or “reading isn’t a necessity”. we’re living through a literacy crisis and the fact that this is rhetoric is being parroted keeps pissing me off.
I actually feel like workdays should be 10am–3pm or 9am– 2pm. There’s no reason for people to spend most of their lives at work. Let people go home and have time for their families, partners, friends, and rest. That’s why everyone is so miserable today.
