@johnmfitzp@DanNeidle@EvanDLPrice@JohnDon58086814@Nom_de_plume Law gets broken all the time by all manner of people, HMRC can't pursue them all. If the breach made no material or significant difference to anyone (Inc HMRC), it is sensible to drop it and focus on more significant events, even if the accused is a politician you don't like.
But the top 1% of UK taxpayers now pay 33% of all income tax Everyone screaming tax the rich, but let that sink in That’s just 500,000 people contributing £93.8 BILLION in the 2024 tax year
A £150k earner pays £53,460 in tax
A £25k earner pays £2,486
It takes 21 people on £25k to contribute what one person on £150k does
So when Labour talk about ‘making the rich pay their fair share’, they already are
Keep hammering high earners, entrepreneurs & business owners, & they’ll KEEP leaving
Dubai, Monaco, Portugal are all rolling out the red carpet

Sack half the civil service and make the other half as productive as the private sector. It is an all-party lack of political will that allows this state of affairs to continue.
@_RealSuperhuman @Imogenlemon02 Ffs, what's so difficult to understand?? Just because people "work", does not make them "working people".
Working people are exclusively poor and depend on aid.
Sir Kier Starmer is a working person, you can tell because he get free suits and concert tickets.
@dave43law Bonkers idea. This would just create a bloated inefficient company where no one cares about waste, while the tax payers always pick up the tab.
