LACSON BARES PHOTOS OF TAGUIG ‘GHOST’ PROJECTS

LOOK: Senator Ping Lacson's office has released photos it says support allegations of "ghost projects" in Taguig City, the political bailiwick of Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.

A progress report showed that four separate slope protection projects, awarded to four different contractors, were all reported as “completed, billed, and paid” despite using the same geotagged photo as proof of completion.

"Ang kalakaran sa Taguig, virtually controlled ng isang tao. Walang makakagalaw doon na hindi alam ni Cayetano... Sabi niya, walang flood control anomaly or ghost projects. Bahala siya, 'yan ang kanyang claim. Pero records and documents say otherwise," Lacson said in a statement.

Lacson also alleged a 33% kickback scheme, which he said has led some contractors to undertake overlapping, ghost, and substandard projects.
