News for international horse racing fans:
Puro Magic is expected to head to the Hong Kong Sprint next, after which she may retire and enter the broodmare band. Her owner commented, “I just want to beat Ka Ying Rising over 800 meters lol.”
In a post-race interview, the owner said, “If we can go to Hong Kong, I’d like to go there, and given her age, I’m thinking she’ll probably retire to breeding afterward.”
Regarding a potential showdown with Ka Ying Rising, the owner joked, “I just want to beat Ka Ying Rising over 800 meters.”
The owner’s mares often retire at around five or six years old to enter the breeding program, so personally, I think Puro Magic, who is five this year, is highly likely to retire by next spring.
