Today, I attended janasabhas at Amdanga and Haripal, and led a padyatra covering Shibpur and Howrah Dakshin in support of our Maa-Mati-Manush candidates. The resounding uludhwani of our mothers and sisters, and the thunderous applause of our brothers, charged the air with an energy and emotion that words can barely capture. It is on the strength of this love, and with these blessings, that we press forward in our mission for Bengal's development.

The zamindars sitting in Delhi have long treated Bengal as an afterthought, a state to be exploited during elections and ignored thereafter. The BJP makes sweeping promises to Bengal every five years, yet when the time comes to deliver, they withhold funds that rightfully belong to this state and its people. This is a deliberate betrayal. The people of Bengal have seen through it, and they will no longer accept it. Outsiders cannot understand Bengal, its soil, its soul, its centuries of culture and resistance. They come here with the politics of division; we answer with the politics of development.

Trinamool Congress has stood by the people of Bengal through every storm, and we will continue to do so. This election is Bengal's moment to speak. To protect our heritage, our rights, and our dignity, I urge every community, every faith, every language to vote for Peerzada Kasem Siddiqui from Amdanga, Dr. Karabi Manna from Haripal, Dr. Rana Chatterjee from Shibpur, Nandita Choudhary from Howrah Dakshin, and joraphool candidates across Bengal.

The time has come to democratically, decisively, and permanently bid farewell to the BJP from Bengal.

Across Chowrangee, Bhabanipur, Jadavpur and Tollyganj, I saw people turn out with clear intent, determined, united, and ready to defend Bengal, its identity, and its future. Those who believe they can run Bengal from Delhi, dictate its politics, divide its people, and distort its culture are deeply mistaken. This land has a long memory and a stronger spine.

Those sitting in Delhi, plotting to snatch Bengal’s rights and impose their agenda, should understand it clearly that the people of Bengal are watching, and they will respond through their vote. Every attempt to undermine Bengal will be met with a decisive democratic pushback. This election is about resisting a systematic attempt to weaken Bengal and control it.

Development has reached every doorstep in Bengal despite constant obstruction. Our welfare schemes are lifelines, and no force, however powerful it believes itself to be, can take that away from the people. Bengal stands tall today, for progress, for peace, and for dignity. The love and trust of the people are our greatest strength. They drive us forward and will defeat every attempt to weaken Bengal.

I urge every citizen to rise above differences, stand united, and vote to protect Bengal’s language, culture, and future. Vote for Nayna Bandopadhyay in Chowrangee, Debabrata Majumdar in Jadavpur, Aroop Biswas in Tollyganj, and every Maa-Mati-Manush candidate.

The extraordinary enthusiasm, the genuine warmth, the spontaneous emotional outpouring of ordinary people at yesterday’s padyatra and janasabhas have moved me in ways that words can only approximate. This is a bond, forged over years of standing together through every challenge this land has faced. The victory of Maa-Mati-Manush is no longer a matter of prediction. It is a matter of time.

This sacred land of Bengal has, since time immemorial, stood as a beacon of harmony, culture, and civilisational pride. It has no place for divisive, destructive forces who seek to deprive Bengal of its rightful dues, tarnish its heritage, and ride their lust for power over the dignity of its people. They will receive the only response they deserve. A decisive, democratic reckoning from the vigilant and united people of Bengal.

The momentum of development has touched every corner of this state. No malicious force can halt it. Our people-centric welfare initiatives are the protective shield of Bengal's citizens, and no power on earth has the authority to snatch them away. I remain firmly confident that the people will continue to stand for Bengal's development, peace, and progress as they always have.

To protect our language, our culture, and the proud legacy of this land, I humbly appeal to every citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or background, to press the Joraphool symbol on 29th April and ensure a resounding victory for all Maa-Mati-Manush candidates.

Today, the people of Howrah Madhya, Kolkata Port, Bhabanipur made a declaration. The spontaneous participation, the energy, the sheer presence of the people have made one truth impossible to ignore. The mandate of Bengal stands firmly, proudly, and irrevocably with Maa-Mati-Manush.

নাবালিকাকে যৌন নিগ্রহ: অভিযুক্তের বিরুদ্ধে সাজা ঘোষণা

৭ মার্চ, ২০২২। দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর জেলার গঙ্গারামপুর থানার ঘটনা। ১৩ বছরের এক নাবালিকা বাড়ি থেকে বেরিয়েছিল বান্ধবীর বাড়িতে যাওয��ার উদ্দেশে। পথে তার পিছু নেয় অভিযুক্ত উজ্জ্বল ভুঞ্জার। মেয়েটিকে বিভিন্ন কথায় ভুলিয়ে নিজের টোটোতে তুলে, অপহরণ করে, তাকে যৌন নিগ্রহ করে ওই অভিযুক্ত।

ঘটনার ৩ দিন পর নাবালিকার মায়ের অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে গঙ্গারামপুর থানায় একটি মামলা রুজু হয়। তদন্তের দায়িত্ব পান ওই থানার কর্মরত অফিসার সাব-ইন্সপেক্টর সমীর কর্মকার। তিনি অত্যন্ত তৎপরতার সঙ্গ�� অভিযুক্তকে গ্রেফতার করেন এবং তদন্ত শেষে নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের মধ্যে উপযুক্ত চার্জশীট জমা করেন।

সম্প্রতি এই মামলার রায় বেরিয়েছে। মহামান্য আদালত অভিযুক্ত উজ্জ্বল ভুঞ্জারকে ১০,০০০ টাকা জরিমানা সহ ৩ বছর ১০ মাসের সশ্রম কারাদণ্ডে দণ্ডিত করেছেন।

.@BJP4India, which shamelessly put a price on the dignity of Bengal’s mothers and daughters in Sandeshkhali by coercing women to sign blank papers and concocting rape charges for cash, is now desperately trying to bury the heinous crimes of its own ranks with more money.

In a sickening case from Khejuri, Purba Medinipur, a BJP worker’s son was arrested for raping a 4-year-old girl next door, a defenseless child violated by a predator shielded by his party’s clout. Instead of supporting the shattered family, BJP Panchayat Pradhan Kalipada Mondal had the gall to offer them Rs. 30,000 to silence their agony and sweep the crime under the rug.

At the heart of this depravity stands @BJP4Bengal’s morally bankrupt LoP @SuvenduWB, a vile hypocrite who lets his goons threaten, intimidate, and rape helpless girls, then muzzles their cries with cash or coercion. The next time Suvendu dares to stage a protest for women’s safety, Bengal’s people will shove his disgusting record in his face and remind him that he's nothing more than a repulsive stain on humanity who’d sell a helpless child’s modesty for pocket change.

On the Foundation Day of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad, I bow to the indomitable spirit of Bengal’s students and youth. From time immemorial, it is the youth who have lit the path of civilization with the power of knowledge and courage. In Bengal today, it is they who stand as the vanguard of progress, the conscience of society, and the torchbearers of tomorrow.

Since 2011, our Ma-Mati-Manush Sarkaar has devoted itself to empowering the next generation. Initiatives like Kanyashree, Aikyashree, Sikshashree, Sabooj Sathi, Student Credit Card, and Taruner Swapno have transformed countless lives, while the establishment of new institutions has made Bengal a beacon of educational excellence for the nation.

But even as Bengal rises, there are forces that seek to drag us down. BJP, driven by malice and envy, continues to vilify our language, torment our people, and obstruct the rightful dues of our State. Their every action is aimed at weakening Bengal.

But no authoritarian force will be allowed to disrupt the harmony of our soil, and no anarchic design will be permitted to corrode our democratic spirit. As long as our students and youth stand upright and fearless, no Jono-Birodhi agenda can ever take root in Bengal.

Bardhaman always occupies a place of pride in India’s Green Revolution. Rightly called the ‘Rice Bowl of Bengal,’ Bardhaman continues to nourish our State as well as our country. Today, I am taking this opportunity to extend my sincere & heartfelt gratitude to our farmer brothers whose toil has made Bengal the largest rice-producing State in the country.

Today, from the Bardhaman Municipal High School Ground, for Purba Bardhaman District, I have inaugurated 1,452 projects worth Rs. 784.49 crore. Besides, I have also laid today the foundation stone for 171 projects with cost involvement of Rs. 699.23 crore for Purba Bardhaman District.

Similarly, for Paschim Bardhaman District, I inaugurated today 24 projects worth Rs.110.39 crore and also laid the foundation stone for 23 projects amounting to Rs. 51.69 crore.

Apart from these, I have handed over both agricultural as well as homestead pattas to a large number of beneficiaries across 14 districts. Since 2011, our ‘Maa-Mati-Manush' government handed over 2 lakh 26 lakh homestead pattas, 1 lakh 80 thousand agricultural pattas and 47,000 forest pattas.

I am also extremely happy to initiate Phase XI of Sabooj Sathi today, under which around 12 lakh 50 thousand students of Class IX will be given Bi-cycles. Today, I have already separately tweeted on this Sabuj Sathi scheme at length.

In addition to that, benefits of various social welfare schemes of the State Government have also been extended today to around 1 lakh 50 thousand people today, which includes more than 72,000 women, who will receive financial assistance under 'Lakshmir Bhandar' , more than 50 thousand Self-Help Groups who will receive loans, more than 9,800 students who will receive 'Shikshashree' scholarships, more than 4,800 women who will be provided financial assistance for their marriage under 'Rupashree' and 2,500 families who will be provided housing under 'Banglar Bari'.

As a major initiative towards regional infrustructural develoment, I have laid foundation stone of a 3-lane 'Shilpa Setu' over river Damodar, parallel to the existing Krishak Setu along Bardhaman -Arambagh Road at a cost of Rs. 347.11 crore. This will further ease the connectivity between Purba and Paschim Bardhaman, Bankura and Hooghly.

It is quite unfortunate that BJP, without any political vision and unable to resist the impact of the pace of development that Bengal is witnessing today, not only has stopped the release of development funds to our State, but has also started maligning our Bengali language, besides humiliating and torturing our people.

But let me make it clear that neither can anyone stop the pace of development in Bengal, nor can anyone prevent us from speaking our mother tongue. Myself and our 'Ma- Maati-Manush' government will always remain committed to uphold the pride and welfare of our people.

I knew him well and received his affection. We had interacted on joint efforts to develop Bengal.

আইনি জটিলতায় ফলপ্রকাশে অন্যান্যবারের তুলনায় এবার একটু দেরী হল। কিন্তু আমি বিশ্বাস রাখি, সমস্ত প্রতিকূলতাকে জয় করে আগামীর দিনগুলিতে তোমরা আরো সফল হবে এবং বাংলার মুখ উজ্জ্বল করবে।

Allow me to be a little nostalgic today.

As the Railways Minister of India, I was fortunate in planning and sanctioning series of Metro Railway corridors in metropolitan Kolkata. I had drawn the blueprints, arranged the funds, initiated the works and ensured that the different ends of the city ( Joka, Garia, Airport, Sector V, etc) were connected by an intra- city Metro grid.

Later, as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, I had the additional privilege of taking part in execution of the projects. From the State, I arranged free land, paved roads, arranged rehabilitation of displaced people, removed impediments, and ensured all help in the execution of projects. Our chief secretaries successively held series of coordination meeting to ensure integration of execution agencies. My planning as Railways Minister got fulfilment in my participation in execution.

Expanding Metro infrastructure has been a long journey for me. Allow me some nostalgia today.

আজ একটু স্মৃতি-তাড়িত হতে দিন।

ভারতের রেলমন্ত্রী হিসেবে কলকাতায় অনেকগুলি মেট্রো রেল করিডরের পরিকল্পনা করা ও অনুমোদন দেবার সৌভাগ্য আমার হয়েছিল। এটা বলতে আমার কোনো দ্বিধা নেই যে, এই শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তকে (যেমন - জোকা, বেহালা, তারাতলা, গড়িয়া, নোয়াপাড়া, দক্ষিণেশ্বর, বিমানবন্দর, দমদম, সেক্টর ফাইভ, ইত্যাদি) একটি মহানাগরিক মেট্রো গ্রিড-এ সংযুক্ত করার জন্য যাবতীয��� কাজ - তার ব্লু-প্রিন্ট তৈরি করা, প্রয়োজনীয় অর্থের ব্যবস্থা করা, সময়ে কাজ শুরু করা – সব কিছুই করার সৌভাগ্য আমার হয়েছিল। টালিগঞ্জ–গড়িয়া, দমদম–গড়িয়া, দক্ষিণেশ্বর–দমদম, সল্টলেক–হাওড়া - এই সব সংযোগেরই সূচনা আমার হাত দিয়ে। ইস্ট-ওয়েস্ট মেট্রো রেলপথের রুটও বাস্তবসম্মতভাবে পরিবর্তন করে তার রূপায়ণের পথ আমি প্রশস্ত করি। এই সব কাজের জন্য মেট্রো রেলওয়ের একটি পৃথক জোনও আমি কলকাতায় করি। সারা ভারতে ২০টি জোন ছিল, এটি অধিকন্তু নূতন হয়। ওয়ার্ল্ড ক্লাস স্টেশন তৈরীর ঘোষণাও ছি�� আমার।

এটা আমার গর্ব, পরে, পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিসেবেও এই প্রকল্পগুলোর বাস্তবায়নে আমার সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ ছিল। রাজ্যের তরফ থেকে বিনামূল্যে জমি দেওয়া, রাস্তা তৈরি করে দেওয়া, বাস্তুচ্যুত মানুষের পুনর্বাসনের ব্যবস্থা করা সহ যাবতীয় বাধা-বিঘ্ন সরিয়ে যাতে দ্রুতগতিতে কাজ সম্পন্ন হতে পারে তার বন্দোবস্ত আমরাই করেছিল���ম। রাজ্যের মুখ্যসচিবরা ধারাবাহিকভাবে একাধিক কোঅর্ডিনেশন মিটিং করেছেন যাতে নির্বাহী বিভিন্ন এজেন্সির মধ্যে সমন্বয় বজায় থাকে, কাজে সুবিধা হয়।

এককথায়, রেলমন্ত্রী হিসেবে যে পরিকল্পনাগুলো করেছিলাম, সেগুলো ফিল্ডে যাতে সঠিকভাবে শেষ হয় তার ব্যবস্থাও আমরাই করেছিলাম- এই সৌভাগ্য আমার হয়েছিল।

মেট্রো পরিকাঠামো সম্প্রসারণ আমার একটি দীর্ঘ সফরের অন্যতম অংশ। আজ আমাকে কিছুটা নস্টালজি�� হতে দিন।

আমি অত্যন্ত আনন্দিত যে মহামান্য সুপ্রিম কোর্টের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রায় বেরোনোর অল্প কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই আমরা এ বছরের জয়েন্ট এন্ট্রান্সের ফলাফল প্রকাশ করতে পেরেছি। যে ক্ষিপ্রতার সঙ্গে রাজ্য জয়েন্ট এন্ট্রান্স বোর্ড এই কাজটা করল আমি তার জন্য তাদের ��ন্যবাদ জানাই। এবার আমাদের রাজ্যের ১ লক্ষেরও বেশি ছেলে-মেয়েরা আগামীদিনের ইঞ্জিনিয়ার, আর্কিটেক্ট হবার লক্ষ্যে নিশ্চিন্তে এগিয়ে যেতে পারবে।

পাশাপাশি, একইভাবে, মহামান্য সুপ্রিম কোর্টের রায়ের পরই বিভিন্ন কলেজে আন্ডার গ্র‍্যাজুয়েট কোর্স-এ ভর্তি হবার জন্য মেধা-তালিকাও কেন্দ্রীয় অ্যাডমিশান পোর্টালে আজ প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। এটাও অত্যন্ত আনন্দের।

অন্যান্য সংশ্লিষ্ট বকেয়া বিষয়গ��লিও অবিলম্বে মিটিয়ে নেওয়া হবে।

আইনী কিছু জটিলতার কারণে, আমরা বাধ্য হয়েছি ফলপ্রকাশ করার জন্য অপেক্ষা করতে। এর জন্য আমি দু:খিত, কিন্তু এটা মোটেও আমাদের ইচ্ছাকৃত নয়। আমি কখনো চাই না কারো ক্ষতি হোক। আমি সবসময় চাই, সকলের ভালো হোক। দেরীতে ফলপ্রকাশের কারণে কারো যাতে ক্ষতি না হয় সেটাও আমরা দেখব।

আজ, ৭৯তম স্বাধীনতা দিবসের ঐতিহাসিক দিনে, রেড রোডে উপস্থিত থেকে জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করে গর্বিত অনুভব করছি। আমাদের বীর সেনা ও পুলিশ বাহিনীর অংশগ্রহণে সমৃদ্ধ বর্ণাঢ্য কুচকাওয়াজ, রাজ্য সরকারের বিভিন্ন দফতরের জনমুখী কর্মসূচিগুলির বিষয়ে বর্ণময় ট্যাবলো এবং রাজ্যের নানা এলাকার ও অংশের মানুষের প���রাণবন্ত সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান আজকের অনুষ্ঠানকে গৌরবান্বিত করেছে।

সমাগত হাজার হাজার মানুষ, বিদেশী দূতাবাসের প্রতিনিধিবৃন্দ, সেনা অফিসার ও জওয়ানগণ এবং আমাদের সকল সহকর্মীকে আমার ধন্যবাদ জানাই। এসেছিলেন আমার প্রিয় শত শত ছাত্র-ছাত্রী, শ্রদ্ধেয় শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকাগণ, অসংখ্য গুণীজন, সাংস্কৃতিক জগতের বহু শিল্পী, সকল আকাদেমির সভ্যগণ, টেলি-আকাদেমির সঙ্গে যুক্ত থাকা বিশিষ্ট মুখেরা,বহু নামী ���েলোয়াড়, স্পোর্টস আকাদেমির অগ্রণী সদস্যরা । ছিলেন ফিল্ম জগতের মানুষ, পুলিশ পরিবারের সদস্যরা, সংবাদমাধ্যমের প্রতিনিধিরা, অগণিত বিশিষ্ট মানুষ --সমাজের সকল অংশের প্রতিনিধি ও নেতৃবৃন্দ। তাঁদের সকলকে আমার আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ।

আমাদের এই মহান মাতৃভূমির স্বাধীনতা একদিনে আসেনি। দীর্ঘদিনের নিঃস্বার্থ লড়াই, অগণিত বীর মানুষের আত্মত্যাগ এবং জাতি-ধর্ম-বর্ণ-বর্গ নির্বি��েষে সকলের নিরলস সাধনার পর কাঙ্ক্ষিত স্বাধীনতার স্বাদ আমরা পেয়েছি।

আমাদের বাংলার স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামী সন্তানের কাছে আমরা তথা সারা দেশবাসী চিরঋণী। তাঁদের আমরা এই দিনেই আবার প্রণাম জানাই। প্রণাম জানাই সকল দেশনায়ক ও চিন্তানায়কদের।

সমাজের সকলকে নিয়ে বাঁচব,চলব,লড়ব। স্বাধীনতা দিবসের এই মাহেন্দ্রক্ষণে এটাই আমাদের প্রতিজ্ঞা।

সারা বাংলা জুড়ে আমাদের যে "আমার পাড়া আমার সমাধান" প্রকল্প চলছে, আজ পর্যন্ত তার সাফল্যের খতিয়ান আপনাদের সঙ্গে ভাগ করে নিচ্ছি।

আজ, ১২.০৮.২০২৫, বিকেল ৪:০০ পর্যন্ত ফলাফল –

•মোট বুথ যা এই প্রকল্পে কভার করা হবে: ৮০,৬৮১

•আজ পর্যন্ত কভার করা বুথের সংখ্যা: ১৪,২৬৫

•এই প্রকল্পে মোট ক্যাম্প করা হবে: ২৮,৭৫৩

•আজ পর্যন্ত ক্যাম্প অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে: ৫,৪২৮

• এখনো পর্যন্ত অনুষ্ঠিত ক্যাম্পে মোট মান��ষ এসেছেন: ২৯,৫১,১৬৪

•প্রতি ক্যাম্পে গড় অংশগ্রহণকারীর সংখ্যা: ৫৪৪

•এখন পর্যন্ত প্রায়োরিটি ভিত্তিতে প্রকল্প বেছে নেওয়া হয়েছে: ১,৩৬,৪১৫

এই রিপোর্টে দেখা যাচ্ছে, ৩০ লক্ষ মানুষ ইতিমধ্যেই ক্যাম্পে এসেছেন। আমি গর্বিত, বাংলার মানুষ ��মাদের এই প্রকল্পেও এরকম আন্তরিকভাবে সাড়া দিয়েছেন।

আমাদের যে সকল সরকারি কর্মী ও আধিকারিক দিনরাত পরিশ্রম করে এই প্রকল্পকে এভাবে সাফল্যমন্ডিত করে চলেছেন তাঁদেরও আমার অভিনন্দন জানাই।
