As my final act in office, I’m proud to announce a $6.75 million investment in school meals. Students qualifying for reduced-price meals will have their fees waived beginning in January through the end of school year 2023-2024.
And lastly, I hope you continue to be relentless optimists for our kids.
I will miss all of you dearly. Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey.
Kathy Hoffman, MS, CCC-SLP
When I first ran for office, I said that our public schools needed a relentless optimist. I’m proud to say at the end of this journey as State Superintendent, that my optimism has only grown through the work we have accomplished at ADE.
Together we led our schools through the most difficult time in their history, and I am proud of all we achieved.
To every educator and partner across the state, it is my ask that you continue to faithfully support our students to the very best of your ability. I know you will.
To help our public schools and support our students, Arizona must do more to support working families.

I want to thank the leaders at @azfoodbanks for their tireless advocacy and work on this issue. Our state is better off because of them. More info on healthy school meals: https://t.co/NtWvmTusJ2

With that in mind, our Inaugural Committee is excited to launch an art contest among our next generation of leaders to see what “An Arizona for Everyone” means to them. #AZforEveryone
