@Mike_A_Borland@RobSandIA That is what I see as well. If her appointments have the power, she has the power. The rest is a mirage Spin it as "schools want fiscal control" all you want, but it hurts schools and most importantly kids.
@LPralleOsborn It's a train wreck. Now that education is smashed in with all other occupations it is nearly impossible to search a position. Overall a few steps backward. I had someone actually COME TO ME in the early stages. Handed me a paper reference and said good luck. Also not helpful.
Coach Sanders at Colorado not happy about late games not starting until 8:00 MT: "What are we supposed to do with the kids all day until 8 o’clock? What are we supposed to do in the hotel?”
Hmmm...study? STUDENT athletes. Just saying.
@LPralleOsborn@HigazyMr@CoachEichten They may be all that really do. Consider a class I had in accounting about 30 years ago. Now, they are teachers, construction, mom, farmer, and more. Hard to believe the one (makes much more than I do) interested in construction was not very interested-until we connected.
@HigazyMr@LPralleOsborn@CoachEichten We may all be talking differently, @LPralleOsborn, or at least different perspectives. @HigazyMr points out an example where a connection developed the interest. She saw a reason, an outcome, and changed her approach. It mattered. I too am disinterested today unless I see value.
@wiseconnector This only emphasizes how important punctuation, tense, and language are for communication. Like most word problems, it's a reading test, not a math test. You all did the math correctly, but a poorly worded question has created confusion.
@MrsSchwamman Barb, I have a building that would meet that description. Was erected as a temporary Ind. Tech shop during construction.
Is that what you mean?
Iowa's AEAs support students and adults in ways schools can't. While legislation is piled on local districts, increasing the burdens of educators, reducing the ability of the AEAs to support schools becomes a double attack on our children.
AEA support is essential in our rural schools including non-public schools. Accelerating AEA funding cuts is not good for students and does not support the parent choice push.
@RandyBauer@acrozier22 Agreed, and my modification has always been "a tax for the mathematically challenged." More political correctness is always more humorous. My vertically challenged wife, however disagrees.
@jasmartinez76@TonyDungy@NFLOfficiating My thought initially, but he was on the line and didn't use another player.
My point on officials is that the game doesn't happen without them. Even though they are "harassed" every play, they still show up and actually do a good job. Not that anyone else is willing to say that.
@TonyDungy@NFLOfficiating I also know that officials can't see it all. Focusing on the few errors ignores the outstanding calls/no calls made consistently. Thanks, officials, for making FB & other sports available to us.
@TonyDungy@NFLOfficiating I agree it should be. I also must not be aware of nuances as I also saw Brady-between the tackles-throw a ball to the ground, near no receiver, as Aaron Donald had a clear path to him & no intentional grounding call. No objection/comment, so I assume I'm missing something...?
