πWe've teamed up with @theshrt to bring you a series of events about our successful partnership with #health and how it's making a real difference in people's lives.π π We'll be discussing the partnership between health and social housing, damp and mould, and our ACE (Assisting Children to Excel) programme.

Morning 20 years ago today I was sectioned for the 1st time it was a horrible experience too detailed to put on a social media post. The publicity it received went Worldwide I was front page news for the wrong reason TV crews at my door, helicopter overhead. I'm told that from that day Mental health issues suddenly were not swept under the carpet, & hushed up. The only positive from that day for me is the awareness of Mental Health all over the UK. My main problem there is still lots of talk but far more actions need to be taken & our Government need to put their hand in their pockets & actually address Mental Health issues properly not just talk about it.
@MarkAxcellNHS @wearewhg @NHSinBlkCountry @GreenSqAccord @Bromford@NehemiahHousing @BCHousingGroup @WolvesCouncil@sandwellcouncil@TapsM7 @whgFayS It's such a privilege to be leading on this work with our fantastic Black Country Social Housing partners, LA'S and @NHSinBlkCountry, our partnership focus to bring about transformation is central to our work. Thank you to everyone who has supported this work π
1/2 Thought provking day at National Housing Summit 2023, key take aways for me: Housing has an impact on every aspect of our lives including our health, we must target our resources into areas that need them. Great to hear @whgFayS speaking about the best practice partnership
@whgFayS @wearewhg @BlackCountryICS@TapsM7@ConnieJ26969387 Our partnership focused mindset at the forum is key to how far we have come in such a short time. Having established models of practise from @whgFayS to scale across the #BlackCountry creates a real opportunity for transformation and long term change. #Partnership
By working together, we can make a significant impact on reducing #healthinequalities for residents.
That's why we were delighted to welcome the Black Country Health and Housing Forum members to hear from our Stronger Communities team.
We discussed our:
π₯ Community Champion Model
π Social Prescribing
π₯ Work4Health programme
Because we believe by sharing our best practice with others, we can have an even greater impact on the health and well-being of residents.
Working in partnership with the @NHSinBlkCountry, the Black Country Health and Housing Forum aims to scale the established and evidenced models to support residents across the #BlackCountry
Thank you to everyone who took part π
And a special thanks to our Community Champions who came and spoke about their lived experience and connections to their communities.
