βΌοΈ We are dealing with a fire in Perrylands Lane, Horley.
There are four fire engines in attendance.
If you live nearby, please keep windows and doors closed. Thank you.

Day 14 - Grosmont to Robin Hoods Bay (the end) 16 miles. There's nothing like a nice steady start to a walk to loosen up the legs, and this was nothing like it, 300 metres of ascent straight from the door to get the heart going. Lovely varied walk after that.
Today on armed forces day we say thank you to our serving forces home & aboard for their dedication & sacrifice, for too many the ultimate sacrifice
Many of our team served their country and now Search & Rescue & we celebrate them today "& everyday #armedforcesday π§‘
Day 10 - Richmond to Danny Wiske 15 miles. Much more agricultural landsy ow, though we do still keep bumping into the River Swale which is still lovely.
Far too hot now!

Diary of a SurSAR Charity Walker
Day 8 - Keld to Reeth 12 miles
Very picturesque start to the walk, looking down into Swaledale. Most of the walk was passing through the remnants of the old lead mining industry. Getting warm.

Day 9 - Reeth to Richmond 12 miles
Starting alongside the River Swale we left the Dales, landscape changing again.
High 20s today, maybe the rain wasn't so bad. River Swale, Kingfisher, Dipper, Oystercatcher, Grey Wagtail. Saw them all along the river, far too slow with the πΈ!
