@ddiwa_ Yuwu (though maybe objectively not the "better" book) is my absolute favourite, I re-read it once a year and love it soo much! Hope you enjoy it (= cry your eyes out...)!!
@anpanmancita Don't try too hard, I personally can't wait to read more! Maybe one chapter a day would be an acceptable compromise? Thank you for the story, no matter what you decide!!!
Quoting, cause this might be too random: Has anybody studied how neurodivergence fits into all of this? Habitus and, yes, actual or perceived Xenophobia? Especially when consuming art and entertainment?
If you want to learn more about this theory of Bourdieu's (known as "habitus"), here's a great introduction video I use in my own teaching

@tbaudinette I btw first thought about this when ruminating abt why my best friend loves the dialogues and interactions in French movies and I mostly... don't. 3/3
@tbaudinette I thought of how ND can inform Habitus, influence concepts of societal belonging and "otherness" and how this might shape what entertainment speaks to us across cultures. 1/3
@tbaudinette And how this interacts with cultural differences and Xenophobia, depending on the self-awareness of the Individual as being ND or not. 2/3
@AnOT7forlyf I know i'm just a stranger on the Internet, but for what it's worth: I hope you will stick around for a long time and find something beautiful that joyfully tethers your heart and soul to this life. I love your posts, have a nice day!!
I don't know if you understand how profoundly comforting it is for me to be able to create order and beauty out of chaos in this way. Hope it brightens someone's mood today.
