On Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the School Board revised our Health Mitigation Plan as it pertains to masks wearing in our buildings. A letter was sent home this afternoon with details regarding the board’s decision. Please be sure to read the letter carefully.

Due to hazardous road conditions, Surry County Public Schools will not be open for in-person instruction on January 4, 2022. Virtual instruction will be offered. Students should log in to Canvas for Zoom links and instructions from their teacher.
Due to the rapidly approaching snow and ice storm, Surry County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 3rd for students and staff. Maintenance staff and custodians will be contacted to report if needed.
Interim reports for the first marking period are available in Parent Portal. Parent-Teacher Conference Day is Thursday, October 21 from 2:00 - 7:00 PM. Conferences will be held virtually or via phone by appointment. Please contact your child's teachers to schedule an appointment.
This is a reminder that a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic will be held for students ages 12 and up at Surry County High School Thursday, September 30th from 1 until 3 p.m. Please visit the school division’s website to register or have your child return the paper consent form.
As we make plans for next year, we are seeking additional input from families and the community. A town hall meeting will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Luther Porter Jackson Middle School.
