A lady reached out to me on LinkedIn yesterday asking for a “quick 5–10 minute chat” about an exciting project she’s working on with some “top income earners and professionals”
No probs. I said let me hear her out.
Today I wore my T-shirt, positioned my self well amidst serious body pain and sat down like a responsible working-class citizen ready to hear this exciting opportunity.
Call starts
She: Thanks for agreeing to meet. So tell me about yourself. What do you do? What does your day-to-day look like as a Business Analyst?
Me: Before we get into all that… what exactly is this meeting about? What’s the end goal?
Her: We provide several services. Your answers will help me understand which one is the best fit for you.
But aunty, na you find me come LinkedIn o. 😭
Anyway, I answered briefly.
I told her my day-to-day is basically helping businesses solve problems, understanding what the business needs and bridging the gap between the business and technical teams.
I also mentioned that outside my BA career, I’m a business owner.
Basically, I summarised the SAME LinkedIn profile she used to find me. 😂
Then my BA spirit started disturbing me.
Me: Before we go further, can you explain what exactly this meeting is about and what the end goal is?
Her: We provide several services, so getting to know you helps me understand which one would be the best fit for you.
Me: Okay ma’am… but I still don’t know what the services are or what I’m potentially a fit for.
She then asked if I was uncomfortable.
Me: Yes ma’am , a little, because I still don’t understand what this meeting is actually about.
Next thing:
“I don’t think we’re a good fit. Maybe we should end the meeting.”
😭😭😭😭
HA!!!
Aunty, YOU contacted ME.
I wore cloth.
I arranged my self amidst body pain.
I answered your questions.
And somehow I have now failed an interview for a company I don’t know, a job I didn’t apply for, a service nobody has explained and an opportunity that apparently must not be named. 😭
All I did was ask for the business objective before requirements elicitation.
Apparently the first requirement was:
“Thou shalt not ask what we actually do.” 😂
Is this a new marketing format or what exactly? Still surprised at what happened. lol
@Sikowitz17@GoldenCoast16@biggbros_@ROTHMAN_SS Your location says UK. You have to wave down the bus. While some drivers might stop once they see someone standing alone, majority won’t until you wave, mostly those trying to meetup to time. Except you lucky and someone is coming off.
Big SabiFunds update has officially been submitted for review.
This one brings smoother onboarding, a cleaner subscription flow, Uk bank connection, important UI improvements, and stronger foundations for what’s next.
We’ve been listening, refining and building: and we’re genuinely excited for you to experience it.
Your money. Under control.

Building SabiFunds over the past few months has been one of the toughest and most rewarding things I've done.
We've launched our MVP across iOS and Android, built core infrastructure around budgeting, multi-currency finance management, and collaborative project-based money management, and are now entering the next phase of growth.
While we are currently making improvements to improve user experience following feedbacks from early users, I'm currently open to connecting with:
startup advisors,
fintech operators,
angel investors,
or individuals experienced in early-stage fundraising and strategic partnerships.
Particularly interested in people who understand:
fintech,
Saas growth,
consumer finance,
or diaspora/global finance challenges.
Open to advisory collaborations and strategic conversations.
Feel free to connect or message me directly.
So beginning of season, Arsenal players kept fouling keepers, refs overlooked and asked opposition keepers to be stronger. Now Westham goal has been struck off for same thing Arsenal was allowed to do.
Launched SabiFunds almost 2 wks ago. And here are few things I have learnt:
1 - No matter how good your app is or it solves real problem, if your store listing doesn’t sell it properly, you won’t get your target audience.
2 - If your free plan is too generous, users won’t convert.
3 - The real work starts after going live (at least for some categories like finance)
4 - That user that points out errors to you privately is priceless.
5 - You need to find out what impressions users get from your store listing and from your onboarding.
6 - User feedback can never be replaced by AI analytics.
7 - Some friends won’t support you even if you think your app solves a problem they face. And you have to be fine with that.
8 - You become a target for lots of fake marketing agencies.
Sure I missed some. Will keep learning.
Working on an update that should be released soon. We keep iterating.
