Is this the lowest point for Claude in its history?
OpenAI is already ahead with GPT-6 Astra and Codex. Google is coming for it with Gemini 4 Pro. And next month, we could see a wave of cheap Fable level models from DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi and Qwen.
JUST IN: GPT-6 Astra-controlled robots found willing to stab a baby doll, put a screwdriver in a toaster, and mix bleach with ammonia in new safety tests.
🚨 Opus 5.5 should drop next Tuesday now apparently
The model we were all testing was "claude-opus-5-5" which is codenamed "claude-wafer-cap"
Next week is genuinely going to be incredible, GPT-6 Sol as well as Opus 5.5 now + more 👀
This week is 🛳️ Week.
Opus 5.2.
Grok 4.7.
GPT-6 SOL & Reset.
And, with a very slim chance… Fable 5.2.
Dario: “We need to slow the pace.”
The AI labs this week: “Absolutely. Anyway, here’s Opus 5.2, Grok 4.7, GPT-6 SOL, and maybe Fable 5.2.”
It’s crazy to think there are still tech companies in 2026 where you’re not allowed to use AI for work at all.
Apparently their security, privacy and compliance rules still say no.
