We are in the Supreme Court this Thursday for our client, The Spitalfields Historic Buildings Trust, the Appellant in this case; @RichardHarwood2 and Daniel Kozelko of 39 Essex Chambers instructed; https://t.co/5mA8N89pID

Our @Susan_Ring instructing @RichardHarwood2 were involved in this campaign but couldn't save the tree via judicial review. The documentary about the community’s efforts to save the tree is inspiring - a tough watch at the end. Design around the tree!
Plymouth City Council tried to block our application to have the judicial review hearing available to view online, even though we are covering the cost of it.
Why do we think they did this then?

Solar farms - the blue & the green - R (Galloway) v Durham County Council and Lightsource SPV 215 Ltd [2024] EWHC 367 (Admin); Fordham J quashed the planning permission. @GoodenoughRing acted for the Claimant in this judicial review. https://t.co/NXGYcuEWSU
Exactly. All those prosecutions of protesters. Nature further depleted for a speculative development that not even addressing the issues of train connectivity for the north.
In all the chat of @HS2ltd being a disastrous over-inflated money pit, where is the the HUGE LOSS TO NATURE? The veteran Euston Planes, over 100 woods/ nature reserves, award-winning trees like the Abbingdon pear, I mean, come on media! @guardianeco@BBCNews@stophs2@treenews

An application by Plymouth City Council to have the tree felling judicial review dismissed has been refused by the High Court: https://t.co/SLFk1CJR3C
I am acting for the claimant, instructed by @Susan_Ring and Alice Goodenough of @HGRinglaw #plymouthtrees@STRAWPlymouth
How many times did Cllr Evans confidently claim at the council meeting that the legal action was now academic and would therefore be thrown out by a judge?
He really ought to have checked with the judge first.
Awkward!
The judge took no time at all to dismiss @plymouthcc’s application to have the judicial review thrown out. We received a response the very next day.
The judge agreed that it is not academic.

1/ Brick Lane, Spitalfields & Banglatown is the beating heart of our borough, & what happens to it is something we all deeply care about.
As early engagement on the Masterplan comes to a close, I want to share the core values that will inform what the area’s future looks like.
We are proud to be part of the #SaveBrickLane coalition fighting to stop the Truman Brewery building a shopping mall with corporate offices on top.
Please support our crowdfunder. We need to raise £10,000 to challenge this in the High Court
