This #MemorialDay, we pray for the servicemen and women who gave their lives while protecting our freedoms.
We honor their legacy with profound gratitude.
Experiencing the parent-side of online learning. It’s 9:30am, and all 3 of my kids have required parent support. Has me thinking about kids without support right now. Educators, above all else, please show grace, patience and flexibility during this time.
@cultofpedagogy My 6th grader and 4th grader have siblings who are 5 and 2 that are also at home. One parent working remotely and one parent running interference. Things are dicey... we’re trying our best, but these are extraordinary circumstances. Be flexible with expectations 😁
@cultofpedagogy We need to put effort into it, but we cannot hold ourselves, nor our students, to the same standard we would in the classroom. We can’t provide the same level of support outside of class, but we can keep that in mind as we assign and assess.
Does the child know how to ask for a break? Is the child offered different ways to ask for a break? @kwiens62 has a two-part #sketchnote on how to help before trust breaks down.
