On Saturday, June 1st, we celebrated the graduation of the 3rd cohort of GROW, a program run by CivLegacy Foundation, a division of @CivsourceAfrica. GROW is a year-long mentorship and coaching program designed for CEOs and senior leaders across various sectors, including non-profit and social enterprise.

Throughout the program, participants, affectionately referred to as "GROWers," learn how to grow themselves, their finances, their teams, their brand, and their legacy. Each GROWer is paired with a coach to help them make the most of their growth journey.

Our graduation, the culmination and celebration of this transformative journey, was a joyous occasion. We were honored to have Joanita Menya and Hon Dr. Miria Matembe as our distinguished guests. Joanita emphasized the importance of building personal brands, being recognized for something unique, and establishing a solid foundation upon which to grow. She encouraged the leaders to hold onto a "word in season" to guide them.

Hon Matembe advised the GROWers to demonstrate unwavering commitment to their vision for transformation, stay true to their mission, and lead with passion. She challenged them to bear much fruit, prioritize their character, and lead with integrity. Additionally, she urged them to acknowledge God, shun sin, and remain humble.

@StevMukasa, President of the @icf_uganda, also graced the event. He left the GROWers with a powerful quote: "A good leader must hate the wrong thing more than they hate the pain of doing the right thing." ~ Angela Jiang

The GROW 3 cohort remains committed to maintaining strong connections by establishing a GROW alumni association. They also plan to continue their book club, which convenes every Tuesday and Thursday morning. The male participants, known as the BRAW-D brothers, pledged to give back to the community every June 1st, starting in 2025.

We extend our best wishes to the graduates of GROW as they embark on the next phase of their leadership journeys, empowering themselves, their organizations, and their communities.

I have been accused of threatening to wipe out the opposition. Truth is, they are in danger of wiping out themselves because of miscalculation & leaving the NRM to offer solutions to all problems. As long as they oppose what Ugandans see as beneficial, they cause their own defeat
