Gutka is one of the most disgusting things we've normalised in India.Banning it nationwide could single handedly make India look cleaner, healthier and far better to the outside world..
Forget what SC Garg said about GDP numbers being fudged. Forget everyone questioning the data. Just look here. This after a robust 7.8% growth. Somehow Market is not celebrating. The investors are Paise Wala Naxals
Goons surrounded Anandabazar Patrika office and painted part of the walls with Saffron. Police present there were mute spectators. A few days back, West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari asked newspaper Anandabazar Patrika to apologise for using the phrase “saffron hooliganism” in its headline to describe the August 20 clash between student groups at Jadavpur University.

The 7.8% GDP growth has created such an atmosphere of celebration and confidence across the country that…

👉 If we are growing so fast:
⦿ Why aren't we creating more good jobs?
⦿ Why is investment not taking place?
⦿ Why are our industrialists so reluctant to invest?
⦿ Why is FDI not coming in a much bigger way?
👉 The more important questions to ask are:
⦿ Are we doing what is necessary to create good jobs?
⦿ Are we doing what is necessary to stay at the forefront in all the sectors where we have a presence?
👉 If the answer to both questions is no, then we have a fundamental problem, because this is our moment of demographic dividend.
👉 If we are not creating enough jobs for all the young people entering the labour force, we risk losing the demographic dividend.

Paper Tiger's Paper Growth.
After a string of disappointments, Modi is back with another Instagram victory lap - this time it's 7.8% GDP growth. Maybe he knows how hollow that number really is, which is why he resorted to these theatrics.
🚫 Coming from the BJP, this statistic can be dismissed as meaningless. In November 2025, the IMF gave India's national accounts a "C" grade, flagging methodological gaps serious enough to cloud any confident estimation of GDP and GVA.
But set that aside for a moment. Assume, for the sake of an argument, the number is exactly what it claims to be - 7.8%, driven by finance, real estate, IT, and professional services.
Now consider who makes up India’s largest sections of society:
💪🏽 A young country - roughly 65% of the population is under 35.
🌾 An agrarian country - agriculture and allied activities remain the primary livelihood for close to 55% of Indians.
So ask the only question that matters:
Does this growth touch either of them?
❌ NO ❌
Then what's it even good for?
Growth that bypasses the majority of the country - by age, by occupation - isn't inclusive and hence, isn't meaningful.
It is just a number on paper.
PRIYANKA TURNS ARNAB’S 7.8% VICTORY LAP INTO A LIVE FACT CHECK 🚨
ARNAB GOSWAMI: Will you appreciate Modi for delivering 7.8% growth after leading India through four major crises?
PRIYANKA 🔥: You forgot Modi’s man-made disaster, demonetisation. Families are drowning in debt, selling gold to survive and 80 crore still need free rations. Your 7.8% never reached their lives.
PRO-BJP PANELIST: Lies. You are inventing numbers.
PRIYANKA 🎯: These are published reports. Fact-check me right now. Stop shouting “lies” and answer the facts.
