@Ty_Brown06@khrusopolis@fujostic Because people who tend to ask them are looking for a "gotcha" moment to gawk at, rather than any real response. Pardon my skepticism.
@khrusopolis@Ty_Brown06@fujostic 1. Fictional characters aren't children in the same way pet rocks aren't animals.
2. Way to ignore context. When antis post/trace/edit stocks photos of children they usually sexuallize them in the process, hence the (rightfully) disgusted reactions.
@tacoconutty@teelokay Voltron was the point these asshats realized that they could abuse social justice to get their way, especially so when other methods of trying to control people got them ostracized from most online spaces.
It's part of the reason why people moralize fandom to an inane degree.
@heychrisfox@teelokay I feel like that only works in theory more often than not, since a lot of people who make fandoms awful tend to be the same types who will rewrite narratives so that they're never the ones in the wrong and it's person/company that is. (Ex: Mouthwashing)
@khrusopolis@fujostic Well, then they failed, since lolicon stuff involves zero (0) real children.
This argument is nothing more than a strawman that makes op look like more of a creep than the lolicons they were trying to criticize.
