@PP_Rubens I've looked at this for ages in Tate Britain (I think). What I remember is that each brick is painted with at least half a dozen different colours. It's a beautiful piece of work.
@arthistorynews The other good thing about going to see this painting is watching people walk past and then turn around and realise what a great painting they've just almost dismissed. It really is the best painting in the world.
@misswalsingham I bought spycraft yesterday and whilst not wishing to judge a book by its cover, I have to say that the cover makes great night time reading which was a wonderful surprise.
@gigaclear Gigaclear, you may have permission to dig up the Kintbury footpaths from @WestBerkshire but I don't think it includes leaving your rubbish behind. There's a bin on the other side of the road, use it please.
@PP_Rubens A fine painter. I always like to see his 'an experiment of a bird in an air pump' when in London. Lots of people walk past it and then return when they notice the quality of the work.
@JanesKintbury@nicolawriting@AnnWilk88393665 I've seen this in a holiday home in Devon. Apparently the home was previously occupied permanently and the owner regularly fed the crows. The permanent occupier had left but no-one has told the crows so they came along every morning and knocked on the door!
@OwdAlbert I've been 'held' by this painting too, it has something about it that's difficult to pin down. Is this in the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool?
