Saddleworth Village Olympics takes place every year in September. Upto 1,000 children from 7 - 16 years old, represent 13 Saddleworth villages across 12 sports.

We spoke to the chairman of Saddleworth Rangers at the tag rugby on Sunday and they’re pushing for more girls to join their teams so if you’re interested give them a quick search.
What a great weekend to start the 2024 games we’ve had. There’s lots more to come including dodgeball on Thursday 12 September which will be filmed and shown on TV’s in Saddleworth school.
We’ve been successful to be placed in the Tesco fundraising from October 2024 to Jan 2025 in Greenfield and Shaw so look out for tokens and vote for us to help us raise funds through this.
This Saturday at our opening ceremony at 9am at Saddleworth school they’ll be opening their canteen for food and drinks as well as our stalls and food venders in the car park.
This Saturday 7 September at 9AM at Saddleworth school the opening ceremony, athletics and tug of war kicks off 2024 games for its 39th year. We’ll have a pizza oven, sweet stall, burger van and the outside school canteen providing food and drink.
We’re getting closer to our opening ceremony on 7 September 2024 at 9am at Saddleworth school in Diggle. As well as our food venders in the car park the school will be opening its outside canteen area for food and drinks too. @saddleworth_sch
There’ll also be refreshments available with a burger van, pizza oven, coffee van and Greek food too with lots of others stalls to. We look forward to seeing you all there.
Plans are well underway for our opening ceremony for the 2023 games, 9am start at Saddleworth School in Diggle. It’s going to be a warm one so bring plenty of water, there is a fountain at the school to re fill during the day.
