i wouldn’t compare BTS with western artists either tbh. how many of them are truly global & consumed globally outside of the U.S? how many of them can show a chart like this time to time?
BTS is quite literally in a league of their own.
this is your sign to keep being LOUD about the impact of this tour. tour hype can do wonders for an artist.
while everyone is facing the "blue dot fever" bts is boosting local economies with bringing happiness everywhere they go. this tour is truly a cultural phenomenon
Reuters reported that @BTS_twt "ARIRANG" Tour is projected to reach approx. $1.8 Billion, rivaling 2 global giants.
Meanwhile, BTS is projected to create an economic effect of $107.5M with 3 performances in Mexico. This figure exceeds TS’s record by a staggering 83% ($58.8M).
Guys.
As fans of BTS, we all have to take a step back and think.
Is replying to every hate comment out there helping us and BTS? Let it be. Most of them are ragebaiting tweets to harbour many likes.
We react, they get the engagement.
What we all can do is focus on BTS.
#BTS joins the Biggest Artist in the World Ranking alongside Michael Jackson”
this is your reminder that BTS are not limited by genre, they’re in the same league as Michael Jackson!!
BTS is out here selling out stadiums worldwide with multiple dates in each while western acts with more monthly listeners on Spotify than BTS cancelling entire tours after failing to sell out arenas is exactly why I will never take monthly listeners seriously. It's a label pushed gimmick through paid playlisting & passive autoplay that doesn't reflect actual popularity or audience.
the discussion about whether the streams removed by Spotify from BTS have to do with the stream filtering rate or not it’s really silly, since there is an artist who recently released a song, and that artist even had a higher filtering rate than us, and their streams weren’t removed in the same way as ours. And that’s where you realize that…this artist paid for autoplay, playlists, and also paid for micro-playlists, and also launched a playlist with a stream format on their official fan profile run by their team on Spotify.. That’s where you realize that we’re not the problem, that our streaming method isn’t the problem, none of that. It’s because BTS doesn’t give in to paying Spotify for certain benefits, and that is where it all ends. where we keep losing, but other artists don’t.
Armys over the years researched & figured out that "viral songs" weren't really viral, and that they were tactically pushed heavy by the label while actual viral songs saw a very different pattern of rising (not even that much) on the charts before it faded to the bottom
Contrary to kpopstans belief,, the Big3's control and influence over kmedia is unshaken and unmatched. Reason why even the most minor achievement by Big3 groups like getting added to Jeff Benjamin's 'best kpop releases of the year' list gets overhyped while BTS's massive achievements on Spotify & Billboard even Grammys are somehow downplayed.
Just look at 2024,, the entire kmedia teared Yoongi apart for WEEKS with 200+ articles per day over tumbling off an electric scooter a lil tipsy while a whole r@pist from SM got like 6 articles in 2 months and 0 demand for photoline whatsoever. While journalists harassed Yoongi into making that photoline happen.
BTS are constantly sabotaged in their own country the MOST compared to any other. South Korea truly don't deserve them.
The music industry will never be okay with BTS , cause the music industry didnt have anything to do with their success and legacy and they also couldn’t earn money off of BTS the same way they did with the industry plants and that will always make them uncomfortable/piss them off
