My dad’s old laptop (4GB RAM, fossil-tier CPU) was ready for the bin. Instead, I gave it a promotion.
Used Cloudflare Tunnels to route it to my domain and slapped on an n8n server. Now it handles 24/7 automations while I sleep

@legion__22 I would say flutter. I have been freelancing for years now and mostly when i am approached with legacy projects its always a RN project that breaks. I have never experienced problems working on flutter legacy projects. For me maintainability is a key factor.

@chandratrem91 Use Expo its great and its quite stable. Use redux for state management. Instead of custom backend you can use supabase it will speed up things. If you need a admin panel you can opt for strapi or sanity. If you need to make admin yourself try django.

@Okechuqu I use thunderclient its a vs code extension. its just much easier to switch a tab than to completely maintain a separate app.

@atybdot @nextjs zustand can be your goto lib. But i mean why you need state management just let the server components fetch the data.

I remember back in 2nd year i had a course by name of compilers and was kind of intimidating. Covid hit and i somehow passed the course. But now after 3 years it still makes me feel incomplete a sense of missing out was created in me. I will give it a try again.

@ankushdharkar Agreed but all battles are not worthy enough. I have been freelancing as a web dev for a while. Recently enough i have seen tools like replit and lovable changing the game. Prompts can make powerful frontend websites. Now i am in middle way of switching to some other domain.
