Day 1 of the @BroadwaySym, that is also a two show day, that I have a teen aspiring-SM shadowing me for the matinee, that is also closing night. I really set myself up for today to be absurd. But I wouldn't trade it for anything. #StageManager
I did it! @thestorygraph now knows about all 459 books that I own across all formats, including duplicates and even coffee table books. On the plus side, I've already read 43% so if I read strictly from my TBR I would finish the rest in about three years. Not as bad as I thought.
Finally started adding all of my owned books to @thestorygraph. Two more shelves to go. Plus my kindle library. The amount of unread is already causing me stress. But also every one I input, I think "ooo I want to read that next!" which is how I ended up here in the first place.
Okay, all of the physical books have been added. Adding my kindle library might take me days. In the meantime, I checked out a library book today. Sigh.
An 8th grader trailed me backstage tonight. They don't want a career in stage management, but he thinks backstage is a place he can find belonging amongst his peers and wants to lead well. Yeah, I'll support that kind of kid any day. Everyone belongs in theatre.
This week I met the youngest member of my family tree for the first time and I got to spend a couple of days with the oldest member. I also lost a job I loved and my uncle passed away. Tomorrow I start a job that I'm beyond excited about. It's been a hell of a week.
Just to make sure I understand...
A local theatre director, who is being sued for sexual abuse of teenage girls, who admitted under oath to abusing at least two of them, was allowed to work on a production at the high school in the same region where he abused his victims?

For the first time ever, I ran a track that was not my own at @MusicManBway. I never even hung out on SL in the rehearsal studio! A nice (but slightly terrifying) change of pace, and feeling extra thankful for the team and the kiddos that had my back. #RiverCity
@lizovich It was the most magical night for everyone on the show! All those understudy rehearsals of us wishing we could share that fun with people beyond us came true for one night only. Beyond thankful for the people who came and especially those who stayed.
@lizovich Know you're not alone in feeling that way. The internal struggle is hard right now, and no matter what angle I try to come at it from I still feel like I am in the wrong somehow.
