@JarvisGoogoo I never did meet Mr. Marshall, but in writing a young adult version of his story devoured all the court documents / etc on his case, and grew to admire the man. He did much for his community. One wonders what what kind of leader he would have become without this injustice.
@telu__ Or a brush cut? Remember them? My brother was sent home from high school in the 50s because his hair actually grew a 1/4 inch over his ears. Imagine! Style police are active in almost all cultures, and they are always wrong.
@always_vote In Ontario, Canada, 'biscuits' means either tea biscuits, or soda crackers. In French Canada, of course, cookies are 'biscuits' pronounced differently. (bis-kee).
