“Seed laws criminalizing farmers for using diverse crops that stand a better chance of adapting to climate change are threatening food security. Today, four corporations — Bayer, Corteva, ChemChina and Limagrain — control more than 50% of the world's seeds.”
"Our food is growing less nutritious. Many of humanity’s most important crops — including wheat, potatoes, beans — contain fewer vitamins and minerals than they did a generation ago," per WaPo

Kids aren’t protesting this war because the Israel Lobby already killed free speech. Over the last two years college students protesting anything tangentially related to Israel faced blacklists from jobs, student group bans, suspensions from school, arrests and deportations.
💢 Fire destroys Czech facility tied to Elbit drone partnership as new direct action group claims responsibility
A group calling itself the “Earthquake Faction” has set fire to a facility in Pardubice, Czech Republic, where Czech firm LPP Holding and Israeli weapons maker Elbit Systems were working to build a “Centre of Excellence” for drones and unmanned systems.
➤ In a statement, the group describing itself as an “internationalist underground network,” said it targeted the facility because it develops weapons used “to massacre people daily in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and across West Asia.”
➤ The site was reportedly empty and no one was harmed. Photos show a large industrial building engulfed in flames, with Czech authorities investigating the incident as suspected arson.
➤ The group signaled further action, saying it aims to “destroy all limbs of empire from within, by any means effective,” targeting infrastructure linked to Israel.
NEW: @andrewcuomo just conceded the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City to @ZohranKMamdani. Cuomo had universal name ID, a $25M PAC backing him and tons of institutional endorsements. Mamdani is a 33-year-old socialist. The magnitude of this can't be overstated.

Dear Fontana Community,
A resident brought to my attention several recent posts on social media that have the potential to cause unnecessary strife in our great city. These posts are riddled with misinformation and have already been the source of conflict with several of your Fontana Police Officers. It is not clear if the misinformation is deliberate or simple misunderstandings about our city and our officers, so I wanted to take a minute to clarify.
On several occasions, members of the Fontana Police Department have been misidentified as ICE and/or federal law enforcement officers engaged in immigration enforcement. These misunderstandings have led to activity from uninvolved individuals that disrupt active police operations.
As your Chief of Police, let me be clear. The Fontana Police Department is committed to protecting and serving all members of our community. Our mission is to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone who lives, works, or visits our city.
California law, including the California Values Act (SB 54), guides how local law enforcement agencies interact with federal immigration authorities. These laws are designed to build trust between law enforcement and immigrant communities, and we fully support this purpose. We believe that no one should fear contacting the police to report a crime, seek help, or cooperate in an investigation because of their immigration status.
Our officers are here to serve you — to respond to emergencies, investigate crimes, and maintain public safety. If someone reports a crime, or if a person is interviewed as part of an ongoing operation or investigation, we do not ask individuals about their immigration status. That information is not relevant to Fontana Police Department operations.
Public safety is strongest when all residents feel safe and respected. Trust is essential to effective policing, and we will continue working hard to maintain that trust every day. While we continue to work to earn the trust that you have placed in us, we ask that you allow officers to carry out their duties without interference. It is not safe for our officers, or for others involved in any active police operations if misrepresentations or misunderstandings lead to inappropriate engagement.
We appreciate your trust and your support.
Michael Dorsey
