Restore Britain's candidate for Mayor of Greater Manchester, Marlon West, has today pledged to hold women's safety summits in every borough of Greater Manchester if elected on July 30th.

The summits would bring together local women with their police force, giving them the opportunity to speak directly and honestly about women's safety in their area.

No topic would be off-limits, including the presence of foreign gangs who are making women feel incredibly uncomfortable in their own town centres.

The pledge builds on the findings of the Rape Gang Inquiry report which documented decades of institutional failure to listen to women and girls in Greater Manchester and across the country.

SHERWAIN SMITH, MIDLANDS OFFENDER WHO KILLED BABY TROY, RELEASED BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY

A convicted killer from the Midlands who abducted a baby from his cot and later disposed of the body in a drain is now free to walk the streets following his release into the community.

Sherwain Smith, responsible for the heinous crime against six-month-old Baby Troy in 2006, was released after a parole board decision, sparking outrage from the child's mother.

Mum-of-five Danielle Simpson, who was just 17 at the time of the tragedy, fears that Smith could pose a serious danger to children again.

She described her feelings about his release: "He could kill again." Smith, who was initially acquitted of murder but convicted of manslaughter in 2007, was given an indefinite sentence.

It has since been revealed that his imprisonment order for public protection expired last August following a comprehensive review by the Parole Board.

This assessment considers various factors, including the risk Smith may pose to society and whether those risks are manageable within a community setting.

The review process involves examining the nature of the original crime and any behavioral changes since sentencing.

Smith’s horrific crime involved the murder of Baby Troy, whose body was found wrapped in plastic shortly after the infant was reported missing.

While the motive remains unclear, reports suggest that allegations of previous child abuse by Smith had surfaced before the murder.

In the following years, Smith was convicted of multiple sexual offenses against children, revealing a troubling pattern of violence and abuse.

Danielle Simpson, now caring for four additional children, described her shock and devastation at Smith’s release, saying, "It’s as if everything he did was forgotten and he walks free.

People need to know what he looks like to protect themselves and their children." Her ongoing efforts aim to raise awareness about Smith’s freedom and to find ways to prevent him from harming others again.

School suspends a 5-year-old for fighting.

Dad gets called in. Expecting him to apologize, punish his son, and play the good little parent.

Instead the dad listens to his son:

“This kid was picking on me at recess. I asked him to stop. He didn’t.”

Then the dad turns to the principal and says what every father in America has been thinking:

“So you don’t even know what the bully was doing to my kid… but you’re suspending MY son for ending it?”

He looks at the bully kid and says:

“You gonna think twice before you bully my son again.”

Then he turns to his boy, gives him knuckles right there in the office in front of the principal, assistant principal, counselor, and nurse:

“Son, I’m proud of you. You ain’t suspended. You got a three-day vacation. It’s hunting season. Let’s go.”

Zero tolerance policies are a joke.

They only tolerate one thing: kids who won’t defend themselves.

This dad just reminded every weak administrator in America what real parenting looks like.
