That’s all for tonight! Thanks for being here! Also feel free to engage with the questions after the hour of the chat! See you next month for our next #SwDMathChat
Q8: What topics would you like to discuss at future #SwDMathChat?
We’d like to hear from you!
Also we’re looking for hosts and facilitators for upcoming chats. Let us know if you’d like to get involved!
A7: I agree with @joanna_hayman6 less edu jargon would go along way to increasing family and student involvement and access to the IEP process. Also focusing on implementing ways to have students lead their own IEP meetings. #SwDMathChat
A6: We have IEP coordinators that work with families to advocate for students who struggle to advocate for themselves. They also take a lot of the paperwork/bureaucracy off of the teacher’s caseloads. #SwDMathChat
A4: We use @Seesaw for digital portfolios and ongoing family communication via work samples, digital activities, and pics and videos of students working.

A1: We generally have very good relationships with families at our school, because it has taken a lot of work and advocacy to get their children to our school. So our families are pretty committed to our school community. #SwDMathChat
