New: A source familiar with the situation tells me that there are “several investigations” ongoing relating to Gov. Gavin Newsom — I’m told they are focused on his wife’s taxes + his chief of staff. They did not originate from the main DOJ, but are out of Sacramento and involve whistleblowers, per source.

DOJ is declining to comment.

Gov. Gavin Newsom says he and his wife are under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice at the direction of President Donald Trump.

Newsom says Federal agents have contacted friends, family, former employees and associates seeking records and requesting interviews.

If Newsom and California's "first partner" are truly under investigation, then he would have received a target letter from the FBI -- but Newsom doesn't mention a target letter.

It's 100% within the DOJ's purview to investigate allegations of corruption that involve possible federal crimes.

The FBI investigated Willie Brown when he was mayor of San Francisco for years -- but came up short, although they nabbed several of his San Francisco city employees.

Despite all the dire predictions from the doomer crowd, last night’s UFC event at the White House was pure magic. The weather was fantastic—cool, breezy, and rain-free—and the much-hyped “mosquito apocalypse” turned out to be more fake news.
The fights were solid, but the walkouts stole the show. They showcased the historic East Wing, which often lives in the shadow of the West Wing, and the illuminated backdrop of the White House South Grounds was simply surreal. It was a spectacular setting and a memorable night.
