LoLMK and TCG Riftbound Community has successfully hosted the first over Riftbound 2v2 tournament in Korea at Gen.G GGX, our amazing partners.

We received overwhelming positive feedback and said they would love to see more in the future.

It makes the game more social as you get to work together with your partners and strategize together to try and win.

We will continue to be hosting Riftbound events for our community members and to the public and we are excited to be an integral part of the Riftbound Scene in Korea

Congratulations @Kreducate and @DoryRiftbound08 for winning and @etiennecherbon1 and @Talonflame_RB for second place.

Thanks @Sweetstairs for being the head organizer for this event as well as the other LoLMK staff for helping with judging and logistics.

Hot take on Korea Riftbound scene:

People who already won skirmishes and already received invites to the Korea Regionals should not attend more skirmishes because it is unfair to other players.

Due to growing pains, there are not enough nexus nights or skirmishes so people get RNGed out from being able to play.

And if players are lucky enough to attend, if they face a RD winner R1 and lose, there is no way for them to win. It is gatekeeping.

Imagine an intermediate player sign up to their first skirmish and see that there are already 8+ players who won previous Skirmishes.

Let the players who haven’t won yet have a fair shot at doing well and advance.

I am the first Season 2 GoD rank in the world.

I have been optimistic about this game and the balancing direction since release but it feels like enough is enough and we've definitely reached that point. This does not feel like Tekken AT ALL.

Characters getting buffed even in the slightest is not the way along with more stance-based transitions where 50/50 situations are enhanced. Some of the new moves added are insane with little to no counterplay. Characters getting their weaknesses patched and identities being removed by homogenisation is lazy balancing. Oki being gutted and heat just getting buffed makes no sense. Combo damage is too much across the whole roster. I definitely think the sidesteps are better but does that really matter when moves exist with crazy tracking/hitboxes? Chip damage is still excessive with most heat smashes remaining the same. Removing strategy in favour of more 50/50 situations isn't interesting gameplay and is moving away from the foundation of Tekken.
