The 3 wise men from the East are set to head to Rome: Chimdiebube Onwubiko, Egejurum Onyedikachi, and Don Anele Munachimso.
Their assignment is simple: bring back the gold.
They will be competing with 154 other countries in Rome, Italy, this week.
Since Nigeria couldn’t qualify for the World Cup, this will be our World Cup.
I'm going to say something that might upset some people, but I believe it deeply and the evidence backs it up.
The single most powerful thing Black people anywhere in the world can do to fight racism is to become collectively wealthy.
Not just individually successful, but wealthy as a community.
I watched this happen with other groups. When Japan was poor, Japanese people in America were put in internment camps. When Japan got rich, suddenly everyone wanted a Toyota and Japanese culture became aspirational.
Korean Americans were targets of violence in the early 1990s. Today, after South Korea's economic rise, Korean culture is one of the most admired in the world.
The pattern is so consistent it's almost boring: poverty invites contempt, prosperity commands respect.
So when I hear debates about fighting racism in America, I always think the same thing. Yes, call out injustice when you see it, absolutely. But also build businesses, create wealth, and invest in your children's education like your life depends on it.
Make your community so economically powerful that discrimination becomes expensive for anyone who practices it.
That is how you win the game everyone else already figured out.
The next astronauts on the Moon won't just walk.
They'll drive. In a Toyota.
This is not science fiction. The contract is already signed.
NASA and Japan shook hands in 2024.
Japan builds the vehicle. America flies it to the Moon.
Its name: the Lunar Cruiser.
Yes. Named after the Land Cruiser. The Moon is getting an off-roader.
Two astronauts can live inside it for 30 days. No spacesuits needed inside.
It runs on hydrogen. The tires are solid metal.
Range: about 6,200 miles across the lunar surface.
And NASA reserved seats on Artemis for Japanese astronauts.
The first humans on the Moon who aren't American
will get there riding with NASA.
As NASA's chief put it, America won't be walking up there alone anymore.
One more thing.
The Moon has no wind. No rain. Nothing to erase a mark.
Those Toyota tire tracks will still be there in a million years.
Right next to the American footprints from 1969.
I get goosebumps every single time I think about it.
🇳🇬🪖NIGERIAN ARMY OFFICER MAKES HISTORY, WINS TOP US ARMY WAR COLLEGE AWARD
The Nigerian Army has recorded another remarkable international academic and professional milestone as Colonel TG Ajato graduated with honours from the United States Army War College (USAWC), Carlisle, Pennsylvania, after successfully completing the Academic Year 2026 course. The distinguished senior officer emerged among the top performers in a highly competitive class of 365 senior military officers and strategic leaders drawn from the United States and allied nations. In a historic achievement, Colonel Ajato won the prestigious Frank Kelly Writing Award for outstanding research, becoming the first International Fellow in the history of the institution to receive the highest academic writing prize. The award also confers a United States Army War College Foundation Life Membership and other distinguished benefits. He further earned a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies, highlighting his exceptional academic excellence and strategic insight.
Colonel Ajato’s accomplishments extend beyond personal success, as he also developed sample model answers approved by the College for future Oral Comprehensive Examinations, setting a benchmark for subsequent cohorts. His outstanding performance reflects the growing reputation of Nigerian Army officers in leading international military institutions and aligns with the vision and command philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, “To Advance the Transformation of the Nigerian Army into a More Professional, Adaptable, Combat Ready and Resilient Force Capable of Decisively Discharging its Constitutional Responsibilities Within a Joint and Multi-Agency Environment”.
The achievement further highlights the commitment of the Nigerian Army to developing strategic leaders capable of addressing contemporary security challenges and contributing effectively to national and global peace and security. Present at the event was the Nigeria’s Defence Attache to New York Brigadier General EA Koleoso, family, friends and well wishers.
