@_T_New@krassenstein @schendel_ashley Pictures are fun, aren’t they? So much easier to comprehend than all those big words everyone uses around you, eh?
@myprofileonx@krassenstein @schendel_ashley “Every year, the LCBO sells nearly $1 billion worth of U.S. wine, beer, cider, seltzers and spirits, including more than 3,600 products from 35 states.” And “Ontario is one of the biggest buyers of American-made alcohol in the world.”

@RockyBay1980 @MChowdry @atrupar That the federal government is adding 15% carbon tax - not an increase of 15% of the existing carbon tax - to everything. And why do you think the federal government would use the Emergencies Act given it’s only been used the once?
@JimWise35847980@BackAvatar@atrupar Oh no, you definitely don’t want Canada. We have all kinds of lovely things, like potash, oil, rare earth minerals, steel, and aluminum, things the US doesn’t want or need. We have universal health care, a great pension system, and freedom to protest. Who would want all of that?
@StevieGhandiz @MChowdry @atrupar What does that mean? Do you think the leader of a federal party stepping down means we don’t have a government? Of course we have a government. Who do you think was speaking in the video?
@wealthmoose@_Chandrang_@merry123459 Why are you acting like a child? Are you proud to put your name beside a stupid meme? Do you think that enhances your credibility? I never claimed to be an expert of “wealth”. That’s why I turn to unbiased experts who have this knowledge.
@wealthmoose I couldn’t resist looking at your profile. Oh boy, you have some atrocious takes. By all means, Canada should stop all foreign aid. Isolationism is such a winning strategy.
Tell me you know nothing of soft power without telling me you know nothing about soft power
@wealthmoose@_Chandrang_@merry123459 Nah, it’s not. Your screenshot says nothing. The idea that they “could have earned more” doesn’t mean it’s not doing well. I shared a link above you might want to read. Why didn’t you post a link instead of a screenshot? Did you even read the article to which you’re referring?
@_Chandrang_@merry123459 We all chip in for the common good: We entrust the fund to those far more knowledgeable to get good returns. CPP is the envy of the world, it’s just so well done. “Your” money goes all kinds of places you don’t control because we live in a society that needs supporting.
@_Chandrang_@merry123459 Nah, it’s doing fine. People who know these things much better than you or I do are making great choices. We don’t want to move to a private system. You want to invest? Go ahead, but leave CPP alone.

@TimKing02362555@ValeDoreen@HMilne57@merry123459 Who wouldn’t be? It’s a system we pay into for the future, and when that day comes, we receive what was promised. Everyone wins!
What is your actual point? You’re arguing about a system you clearly know nothing about.
@TimKing02362555@ValeDoreen@HMilne57@merry123459 You really don’t understand how CPP works, do you? There are no taxes involved.
But you know what, don’t pay into it, don’t take anything from it and live on whatever you have when you turn 65 as long as you can. Problem solved.

@TimKing02362555@ValeDoreen@HMilne57@merry123459 If you contribute $100 today, you think you’ll get $80 in 50 years? Do you understand how CPP works? Do you know how much you put in a year and would get out in the future? You clearly haven’t done the math.
@VolmanBen@HMilne57@merry123459 No. It’s taken off the top before income tax is calculated. When you receive it, you’ll be taxed on that because it’s income that’s never been taxed. Odds are you’ll have lower income when you retire or when you’re on disability leave, so you’d pay less tax on it.
@TerryHaffnerMD@greenhousemd What nonsense! People didn’t have measles’ parties - they were chicken pox parties. We all knew how serious measles was, that kids could become sterile or could die. If you were having measles’ parties, your community was profoundly stupid.
